The back of the property that was our patio off the room had overgrowth of grass, weeds, and a broken fence that went to the adjacent back lot of the other hotel which was littered with trash. It did not feel safe. As far as the room it was "quick cleaned" and the pool area needs work the water was cloudy and the back door was kept open .

Mold and Mildew. Filthy room. The place stunk and my daughter and I woke up with sinus issues. I went and purchased bleach at 10:30 pm, and over 10 miles away, to pour on the black mold in the bathtub and when that did not help I pulled the filters out of the AC unit and they were caked in dirt and dust. I booked for 2 nights, stayed for the 1 night and they are refusing to refund me.

The staff was terrific, several were right there to help when my pss card didn't work! Would have loved to seen some brochures or know some things going on in the town, but that's the fault of the chamber. Loved the Italian restaurant across the parking lot. Room was clean but dark. bed was great, clean and comfortable! What else could I ask for????+

The hotel was awfully gross, a strong stench through the hallways leading you into your room. All the hallway walls and doors are covered in dirty hand prints and I’m not talking a few kids came through, I’m talking it hasn’t been cleaned in YEARS. The shower had mildew all on the crevices, rusty/ moldy shower drain. Back door to go outside was awful. Looks like the shade that goes over the top has never even been dusted. Some sort of splatter all over the walls in a big noticeable area that clearly no one bothered to clean before we came in. The grounds are unkept, the entrance that says “locked between 11pm-6am” didn’t even have a lock mechanism so anyone could walk in at any point in time. The pool….. Bugs and webs and smudge lined the corner of the room and walls, along with another unique stench- and I’m not talking about your normal chlorine smell because I’m not too sure there was any. Pool felt slimy to the touch. For being such a popular tourist area it is appalling to have been faced with the condition of that place. I booked a 6 night stay and left IMMEDIATELY and checked in elsewhere. Photos need to be uploaded as they depict a very decent beachy place, that is NOT the case. I wouldn’t stay here for FREE. Had to pay for 1 night due to cancellation policy- lesson learned on this one and also adding it to the book or NEVER GO AGAIN.

The hotel was located in a safe and convenient place. It is walkable to the Mystic Seaport Museum, the Aquarium, and the Old Mystic Seaport. However the hotel itself was very dirty. The curtains had mold. The hallways and common area were not cleaned on any day we were there - a week. Since we were only sleeping there, we chose to keep our cheap accommodations rather than move. In retrospect, we should have changed. We only saw a staff member when we checked in. There was no one there when I attempted to check out. I would not recommend staying here. There are many other hotels that are better and equally safe and convenient in the area. I would recommend the area as it was safe and convenient.

The shower in our room was caulked horribly. There was mold. The bathroom faucet was loose. The room had a faint smell of cigarettes. The pool area was almost suffocating. It was so hot. And one night I tried for an hour to get a hold of the front desk before someone answered.

The photos gave a different look to the facility so when we arrived it was just not what we expected. The facility is in need of an update as it looks though it hasn't been remodeled in some time. We were given a room on the second floor and told to enter through entrance c. We walk all the way to the back where we found entrance c only to find out there is no elevator. Normally that would be fine but my friend is 8 months pregnant so stairs are not forgiving on her right now. Aside from that we didn't know the room came with a jacuzzi tub which sounds lovely but the thing looks quite old and although it's been cleaned there were stains set into the paint and the whole thing needs to be re caulked. Aside from that my pregnant friend had another tough time getting in the tub because of how high it is. About halfway through the shower half of the lights in the bathroom went out. We thought maybe it was the bulb but they came back on sporadically. The beds were very comfortable and the room itself was fine, nothing fancy. The staff was lovely and very inviting, they helped hold the doors for us while bringing luggage in. Its just the whole place could use a remodel. The location is great, easy access to the highway and mystic village is right across the street within walking distance and the diner next door was a great breakfast spot. Despite all of that, if given the choice we probably would not stay here again.
