I was very disappointed with this hotel. Not up to the Novotel standard. The rooms are very dated and old from the 70s. I felt a bit ripped off. Staff are lovely.

Rooms were dark, dingy and run down. The property definitely needs upgrades. We also requested a handicap accessible room. We were put on the bottom floor that you had to go up and down a series of winding ramps. Not handicap friendly.

We would firstly like to extend our Thanks to Mr Sevoki (Reception Manager) who took the time out to come and talk to us about our check in debacle caused by the reception staff during our stay. Whilst we do appreciate his efforts of an apology on behalf of his staff members, we still feel that this was an avoidable, unfortunate and unnecessary incident to have occurred. We were looking forward to our hassle free relaxing overnight stay at the Novotel Nadi. Our check in should’ve been a very straightforward process, since we didn’t request any additional upgrades/changes just expected to be provided with the room which we’d paid for, but rather it turned out to be a great hassle and inconvenience for us. We were sneakily given a downgraded room without being informed of such a change. When we called from this hotel room to advise of the error, no apologies were forthcoming from the receptionist and we were told to allow them 10 minutes to remedy the issue and we’d receive a call back. Even after 10 minutes of waiting in the 1 Bedded room, there wasn’t a call back so we had to call them ourselves to get the update, and were informed that they’re still working on readying up our actual room. In the meantime we informed them that we’d be having lunch at the Hotel restaurant. Even after our meal (now 2 hours had lapsed from our check in time) we made our way back to reception to see what the situation was with our room, only to be met with unbothered staff

Our stay in general was quite pleasant. The rooms were adequately spacious and clean. Bathrooms need upgrade and ongoing maintenance as it appeared 'tired'. The hotel facilities were well maintained for a hotel of its age. The food was incredibly tasty. Full compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff! During our stay however, there was a clear and present issue with mosquitoes around the main areas of the hotel. Being attacked by mosquitoes prevented us from enjoying the outdoor dining/bar area and from being able to enjoy the balcony that came with our room. That was probably the only disappointing part of our stay. However, all in all, a pleasant stay, great food, wonderful Staff and conveniently close to the International Airport. Vinaka!

There were only 2 things we liked about this hotel: 1. A good restaurant 2. Close proximity to the airport. However, overall, we have been left with a sour taste in our mouth and a bitter end to our time in Fiji. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay at Novotel Nadi and agree with other reviews suggesting a 2 star would better reflect this hotel. We had booked a superior double room with multiple beds. However, the room we ended up with did not match that description. The room was crawling with ants near the bed, by the tea station, and through the bathroom. The room was dirty - notably toilet, bath and floors did not look clean. The room was dark and stunk of cigarette smoke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were in effect lumpy pillow cases. If you have booked here a warning that they may attempt to overcharge you for the room. On arrival, it was acknowledged that we had paid in advance via Expedia, and we were advised a FJD100 hold would be charged to our card for any damages. On check out after a comedy of misunderstandings, they charged an additional FJD113.50 after misleading me to believe they needed my card to refund the original hold. The hotel was then reluctant to refund either transaction until we could prove that we had already paid (despite, I'm sure their system showing the settled account). Our taxi driver who had witnessed the interaction told us we are not the first people he's seen impacted by this. Avoid at all costs!
