The main home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, while the additional guest cottage (not attached to the home) is efficiency style with 1 full bed, 1 twin bed and a 1/2 bath with an outside shower. The property is cottage style with central air conditioning, a fully equip kitchen with dishwasher, washer dryer, deck with furniture sand 6 person hot tub, and has a large yard fenced from the road that is ideal for family gatherings. The home is walking distance to the Point Judith Lighthouse, the beach, surfing areas, a fishing pier, boat launch for kayaks, canoes, jet skis, etc. Within a minutes drive are restaurants, ice cream, and nightlife. The back guest cottage is only available for use May through October. Sheets and towels are at the house for guest’s convenience- there is NO laundry service, guests are responsible for washing and drying all linens that they use prior to departure. Max occupancy of 7.

Beautiful, But Needs Upkeep.

Before anyone starts reading this review, please just know I am writing this with the utmost consideration of the hosts and future guests. The location, backyard, and close beach access were huge pluses for our stay. Overall, the impression we got was that the hosts have a lot of properties, so that they may not check in with this one as much as is needed. The place itself needed more cleaning, there were dead bugs in a lot of places, and almost every chair outside was covered in bird excrement. This could've been an easy fix in my opinion if someone just sprayed them off quickly. We met the cleaners of the property, and they were very considerate people. It seems as though things needed just one more diligent look over. The appliances need updating. In order for the microwave to work, you have to unplug it and plug it back in. The oven does not turn on right away, but even after 20 minutes or so, it did not even become hot in any capacity, which made cooking difficult. We also had issues with the dishwasher starting.The wifi password was not the same on the fridge, we could not readily log into Netflix. The hot tub was overflowing and murky upon our arrival. The hosts were very communicative and fixed all of our issues promptly, which we appreciated. I think for the price, you're paying for the location, but the property itself needs some upgrading and more diligence for guests.

The location was great and the house was cute. But the house was very dirty we had to sweep and mop floors the night we got there. And wipe down all countertops

Great property!!!

The location of the house was amazing . It was located within driving or even walking distance of multiple beaches. The house could have used a more thorough cleaning it seemed like we may have been the first stay of the season. Otherwise this was a great property for our little family. Our dog also loved the house. Be aware there are lots of ticks nearby and in the backyard. We pulled about 5 ticks off the dog during our stay. Lastly, the renters do expect you to wash, dry, and even fold any sheets or quilts used since they don't have a laundry service. The issue with that is the last day of the stay you're stuck getting up pretty early to do laundry in order to checkout by 10 am. I feel if you are expected to wash dry and fold any sheets there should be a much later checkout especially since the washer and dryer are not very large. Otherwise we loved the property, location was amazing and the renters were very responsive when messaged through VRBO.

Close to the beach!

Great location with easy access to Camp Cronin beach with great views, long jetty you can walk out on, and sandy beach. Point Judith lighthouse is a 5 minute walk. Nice hikes up in Narraganset.

Perfect for us

Our stay was terrific. We appreciated the owners rushing to get the hot tub installed in time for our stay. It was fun to take a hot tub in the middle of a snowstorm!

Great location, would plan better next time

The location of this house is great. Close to the lighthouse and beach and even in winter with snow this was a fantastic location. The owners alerted ahead of time, but the hot tub was not functional while we were there which was disappointing. But what can you do?Overall, it felt that the house had its care was out of season. The Wi-Fi initially wasn’t on so the tv didn’t work, which in the winter is a good thing to have working. We had to do a sweep and clean of the house upon arrival and the beds were not made which we discovered is because of the house policy that renters are to wash, dry, and fold all the bedding and any other linens used before checkout. The washer and dryer were both going quite slow the day we were leaving, we contacted the owners and had to do a late check out to finish. Which delayed our 8 hour drive home. Now that we have a better idea of what to expect, we would come back but plan differently for the trip.

Great Short Stay

You get exactly what you pay for. It's a nice, cozy home. Great backyard for kids and dogs. Hot tub was a huge plus. We used for a little get-away and it was perfect. The location is great and with better weather, we would've appreciated it a lot more. Hosts were awesome.

Horrible description of place

First we check in and the lock box was so hard to open, but after 5 min freezing and pitch dark as we are trying to open it the lock box finally got in. The place was not like the pictures. Smell was nasty , Dog hair all over the place it was so gross. Couches , beds and all over the floors and hair in the bathtubs , wall were in terrible condition, and the bedroom had make shift old left over tables not dressers. Let’s talk about this dirty sayings couch that is clearly not a couch that the cushions don’t fit. Back breaker. We had to clean and sanitize everything bc it was clearly not cleaned . As for no refunds that to me is ridiculous. When i chatted with the host they were rude as can be. bc i put one guest and staying why did i say we and i go i booked not pressing it and then she or he states how do they know i am not 20 people . Really ! I question the house cleanliness and u are asking if i am 20 people we are family people and why should we clean it’s should be cleaned so don’t state it on your site things are cleaned . Ridiculous We left there sneezing and grossed out. The only good thing is nice land, lighthouse , water but other then that’s hell no! I made a complaint to them and vrbo asking for partial refund and the owners had nothing to say. I will never rent from them again and i use vrbo a lot and this was a bad one. I have pictures to show the mess. I am disputing the charges. Very unhappy we were. I think this place is more for them to make money and they don’t care about it. It would be so much nicer if they would put money into this house updating , changing furniture, scrubbing it down and a little paint will help this house . It’s a shame it’s so run down. Oh not to mention cottage. I wasn’t using it but curios that is not a cottage it’s a shed. Scary by far most. So don’t say cottage say 2 by 4 storage area. I
