Southern Comfort Log Cabin
If you are looking for a truly relaxing getaway with all the comforts and special touches you deserve combined with a classic charm, this cabin will exceed your expectations. Southern Comfort is a large authentic log cabin easily located on a five acre wooded ridge, just minutes from Nashville and Bean Blossom. You can enjoy the abundant wildlife while soaking in the six person hot tub situated on the large wrap around deck that sits among the treetops and offers a charcoal grill for the barbecue enthusiast. The outdoors can also be enjoyed with a game of horse shoes and a bon fire in the log-inspired fire pit.
Inside the cabin, you will find beautiful hand-crafted hardwood floors throughout. The dining room, which offers seating for six, is combined with a fully equipped kitchen, including an indoor grill, that shares a large Brown County stone fireplace and conversation area; a perfect place to enjoy the crackling fire and a glass of wine, as you reminisce of your day's events.
The cozy living room has plenty of seating to share general conversation, a selection of supplied movies, or even a good football game with family and friends on the available satellite program. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room and Satellite TV/DVD.
The second floor offers two large bedrooms. Each offers a different theme; one room is focused on a rustic/primitive flare and boast a king-sized bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and modern-day decor and reading areas. And just before heading to bed, stop in the loft to partake in an assortment of games or puzzles, or just you skip straight toward a hot bath in the authentic claw foot tub/shower. For your comfort enhancement, spa-quality robes are supplied during your stay. The master bedroom has Satellite TV/DVD, the second bedroom has TV/DVD.
The lower level has a game room with a pool table. (There are loft style stairs to this game room so be careful).
After awaking refreshed, we recommend taking advantage of yet another amenity offered by Southern Comfort Cabin; a one-mile trip down the road to enjoy a home-cooked breakfast at Brown County's best-kept secret, the Gatesville Store. The Gatesville Store offers breakfast buffets on the weekends, regular menus for all meals daily (including some of the best pizza around) , last minute supplies, and gold-mining supplies for rent! That's right. Learn about Brown County's "gold-rush" history and take a try at finding your own gold in the Salt Creek, just behind the store.
