We arrived on a day when it was about 45 degrees. After gaining access to the house it was very cold inside. The heater in the living room would not come on. There was a small 8 by 10 electric fire place that we got to come on but was not enough to warm the room. The heater in the bedroom would not come either. The TVs were not programming to come on but after a little while my wife was able to get bedroom TV to work. I called the host to let him know. He came out and said that the heater in the bedroom (which was also the heat for the bathroom) was not working ( Why rent a place with no heat in the bedroom on a night that has a low of 35 degrees). He brought us a small space heater that barely would heat the bathroom. The linens in the bedroom were stained We had to turn on the stove to kinda warm the front room. After a couple hours of not being able to warm the place up. We decided to count our loss and go to a motel very decieving advertisement
The cottage was nice and cozy. We loved the lay out and the decor. We had everything we needed except a bar of soap. Things that would have helped would have been instructions on using the Trane heating and cooling system, we were unable to get that to work , as well as instructions for the tv in the living room. That was inoperable. The pool and hot tub was very good accessibility. When we arrived to the cottage listed in our reservation the code that was on our online information did not work to retrieve the key. I had no contact number, so I had to look around and found a number on the barn door. When I called it , Jonathan answered immeditatly. He said we were at the cottage next door and provided us with all needed information. That was great, my suggestion would be for someone to provide that information a little bit ahead of arrival time, because I did get panicked when I could not enter the first cottage. Now that we are aware someone will answer the phone, we would stay again, but for first time guests to navigate it was a little scary.
