Check in was good because the front desk person told us that the room that Travelocity offered for an upgrade (with an extra charge) would not accommodate the three of us.. she gave us another room but when we got to the room, none of our keys worked. The clerk then told us after she tried the keys and they did not work for her.. to take the room next door. I was very surprised and disappointed that a hotel that has a sign advertising that it’s a historical hotel had tattered and ripped carpeting.. not very appealing. The next day one of the keys stopped working for the room.
The lady at check out seemed a bit confused with the process and I was a little discouraged by her comments as she was trying to re-explain the upgrade. I especially did not like her incorrect comment that I paid for only two people in the room and there were three of us. Incorrect and an embarrassing moment in front of my adult grandchildren as I paid for the trip. This was not true either.
The location was good, but I believe there are better choices in the area. I would not stay there again.
