Bougie Uptown Shotgun

Shotgun home was in a nice location on close to Magazine Street, so close to restaurants and activities. Host was very responsive and friendly, and the few minor issues were addressed immediately. Unit was spacious and perfect for our visit.

Great location, but property left much to be desired

Great communication with owner, was able to drop bags off early. But when we got there at check in time, there was still a handyman working on the toilet plumbing and AC requiring that he come in and out of the unit - very uncomfortable as 2 women traveling with 4 children. I was also approached by 2 neighbors informing me that this property was not legally allowed to be used as a VRBO. There was also only 1 roll of toilet paper and only 4 bath towels for the 6 of us for 2 nights. The door knob kept falling off the bathroom door which would lock the person inside. All of the other doors were heavily painted and would either not close or get stuck shut. The walls were also very thin between the 2 units and our neighbors had a crying baby that sounded like it was in our unit. The location was great and the owner responsive, but was a rough experience.

Good location

We're 75 and I think that younger folks would enjoy staying here for Carnival season, etc. Lots of beds and great walkabouts.. The lack of handrails and the unevenness of the front steps makes coming in and out a challenge for me.

This is a wonderful location with beautiful church bells in the distance. Very clean house!

My family and I enjoyed cooking Thanksgiving in this cute kitchen and spending time in the spacious living room. It had a backyard grassy area and back deck. We will stay again!

Charles was overwhelmingly accommodating and helped to make our stay worryfree. Great bakery on Magazine, shopping and dlning close by. Close enough (a little bit of a walk) to streetcars to get into the French Quarter.

Staying here provided a wonderful experience for my family & I. We enjoyed ourselves.

I would definitely stay here again. The location was an easy drive to the most popular destinations and the neighborhood was really friendly as well. The home had met all our needs and provided a cozy and comfortable time. The owner was very nice, accommodating and easy to reach out to with any questions regarding our stay.

Very safe and beautiful neighborhood. 10min walk to St Charles Street car. 15-20min drive to anywhere else in town you want to go. Would definitely stay again. Owner was very responsive with any questions.

This property was the perfect distance to the street car and the downtown area. We enjoyed all the cute shops bars and restaurants in the area. Charles was very helpful and his place was perfect for our stay. I would recommend using this location again when I go back!

Great location

Very convenient location, within walking distance of Tulane, Magazine Street shops and restaurants and easy access to the St. Charles streetcar. We had a great time with the exception on Friday night but only because our duplex neighbors were a bit loud late into the night, luck of the draw I guess.
