First time to New Orleans and this was a nice place to stay. Right outside is the trolly that takes you to the French Quarter - less than 15 min trip and it runs 24 hours. There is street parking down the street and around the corner that is free. Due to our arrival and departure we did not see a single hotel staff but we didn’t need anything so that did not matter. It is very clean and well set up. We would stay here again.
The building is an 1890s house that has been lovingly converted into a guest house and well maintained. Our room was beautiful, and the bathroom was updated and comfortable. The electronic keys worked really well, and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

Definitely close enough to the main attractions, yet far enough away for quietness. The area had some beautiful restaurants and other places to enjoy in the evenings without having to walk back into town. Unfortunately the check in process was not simple. There is a building next door, granted with a different number but has the Historic Hotel sign above it so a little confusing. Our safe did not have batteries and my father’s room did not have a safe at all. The rooms were to be fair very comfortable however internet was an issue in 1 room for the tv and I did call leaving a message without any call back. It did resolve itself after an evening. While these really are minor issues it was a good value and at the end of the day there is so much to see and do that you shouldn’t actually be in the hotel much anyway. I will give the coffee a 8 out of ten and they do have all the small comforts of ice, extra shampoo etc if you need any. If you are staying for more than a few days be prepared that the room is not cleaned every day.
Basic Accommodation but great. All i needed. Easy to check in, get to room and great area. New Orleans people are so lovely and just the whole vibe is just incredible.
We met Diane at the front desk once we in the Inn ,she was very informative and nice. All the information about the streetcar trolley and the routes was very useful and recommendations of local good food places from Diane was right on the ball .
We couldn’t recommend The Historic Streetcar Inn more! We came to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and the big parades go right past the hotel. Diane is so friendly and accommodating and we had no problems checking in or with anything during our stay. There’s food options a very short walk from the hotel including a great late night pizza place right next door. We picked the perfect spot for Mardi Gras and will definitely stay here again if we ever come back!
It was a great stay. It was a small hotel so there was no elevator. There was also only on street parking which was very difficult during Mardi Gras, but other than that it was great.
Perfect location in you want to be uptown for Mardi Gras. Spacious, clean rooms. Some of it is Do It Yourself, but there is a lovely lady at the desk who is friendly and helpful.
you need to have a smart phone to get in and out. That was a problem for us, The other problem was on third floor and there is no elevator but I also did not ask for a ground floor room. My husband uses a cane.
