Overall this is a perfectly nice hotel.....the problem we had with the place was we had something stolen from our room and got NOTHING in the way of an apology. The front desk person we first approached about the issue was actually RUDE to us about the issue....no name tag on her, so we took a photo of her and then she had security kick us out of the hotel!! Thankfully they let us back in, no way to get another room during a busy Jazz Fest weekend.....and the following day, the manager said "we'll look into it" and nothing happened.....no call from a manager, no apology for the item that was clearly stolen by a housekeeping person, no free drink at the bar, NOTHING. After that one item was stolen, we packed the room safe with all the other things we could think of that "a person with access to our room" would steal....all jewelry, all medications, all personal liquor, etc. You should never feel this way when you're at a supposed 4+ star hotel. The other big let down for us was the rooftop pool was closed......"sorry, it has a leak, we have no idea when it will open again." Well, maybe provide a coupon to go swimming at a different pool, or offer a free drink for an amenity that was important to us, and that we were absolutely charged for.....no discount, no apology, no notice that the pool was closed prior to arrival, no NOTHING. Frustrating indeed. All of that being said, most of the staff was perfectly pleasant, included breakfast buffet was nice, location great.
