This was the perfect home base for our group trip. The layout offered plenty of privacy, and the kitchen/living areas were great for hanging out together. We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house was exactly as describedâclean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the check-in process was seamless. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay in this wonderful home. It was a family trip with the cousins, there were 8 of us and we used all of the rooms. The decor was gorgeous and well curated. What the pictures donât capture are the tall ceilings that make it feel even bigger. Yet, in its opulence, the home felt cozy and welcoming. Taking a dip or just dangling your feet in the pool was a great way to relax. The kitchen was well stocked so we generally used it for breakfast. All the beds got top ratings. The location was a great, central location as stated. The house is old and therefore has its quirks (some toilets need an extra jiggle, clawfoot tub shower was a bit claustrophobic with clingy shower curtain, but did have hot water). Also, watch out for the spiny caterpillars, especially next to the pool! The host was wonderful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
The heating in the pool and hot tub did not work at all, and the pool and pool surroundings were covered with leaves. The next to last day of our stay a man came to remove leaves from the pool but not the area around the pool. He could not fix the heating element for the pool and spa. The company whose phone number was on the heating element said that the heating element had not worked in a while as he had had many phone calls about it. Before we arrived I had been very specific with the owner about heating the pool and spa as the heating element never worked when we rented the house two years ago. I expect a 30% refund. Also the toilet in the back bathroom doesnât flush , and the shower there doesnât drain. The toilet in the downstairs master bath doesnât flush properly. The house is in a good location and works well for a family. However, the owner is not maintaining it properly.
The house is just beautiful and gorgeously decorated. The bedrooms were all comfortable and worked perfectly for our family of 6. The only hitch was that the lovely clawfoot tub and shower in one bedroom did not have hot water, but we very easily used one of the other bathrooms so it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen was wonderful, very large and fully equipped. Our teens really enjoyed using the pool and hot tub every evening to relax. The location was really nice too, it was an easy walk to the French Quarter and we also hopped the trolley for a ride to the Garden District and WWII museum. Our hosts were in contact frequently to make sure we were in good shape. I would definitely choose to stay here again the next time we are in New Orleans.
Amazing property which really brings the rich history of New Orleans to life! Beautifully appointed, with many thoughtful amenities. The pool and spa made for wonderful evenings and mornings during the warm weather.
