We loved it! Very clean, very safe. Walking distance to all the Mardi Gras fun. Outdoor area was great, pool and hot tub. Host made life easy. Key code to get in, trash was easily accessible. Highly reccomend!
Property was clean and as advertised. Beds were comfortable and the main area was a nice place for everyone to hang out. Rooms are small but we didnât spend much time in them so wasnât an issue for us. Nice that there were so many bathrooms washer/dryer.
We had such a fun stay at The Syd. Clean, great amenities, huge tv, comfortable beds. plenty of towels. We had 6 guys, each had their own room, the place is very comfortable. Its close enough to the quarter that you can walk which we did. We loved the coffee maker with provided local coffee. The host was so responsive to anything we needed. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We'll book again when we come back for Jazz Fest.
Please see my full listing at The Syd "Street Parades" listing. In short, we rented all four units within the Syd (for a team retreat) and were BLOWN AWAY with how amazing The Syd was. By far, The Syd exceeded every one of my expectations (and all 21 team members that stayed). This is truly a special place and experience.
We had 12 people stay at this property. It was lovely! The two downsides were the homeless.encpmwnts in the neighborhood and the complete lack of storage in the bedrooms. But otherwise, we absolutely loved the place. It's gated and quiet and felt secure. It was close to the streetcar. The kitchen is big enough for several co-chefs to maneuver -- but needs a new more mixing bowls and some standard staples (like salt and pepper, etc.). The layout was great, with a gathering space that was big enough for all of us to be in the same space with bedrooms down the hall. It was too cold for the pool on our visit, but the hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed.
We had a group of 16 stay in one of the units. The pool and shared areas were well maintained. The unit itself had a large common area with high ceilings that we enjoyed hanging out in. There were plenty of beds and the unit itself was in good condition.
Sam was our host and he was communicative and accommodating before and throughout our stay.
Location in the warehouse district has a few gems around it, but was also a short drive to Bourbon and other areas we frequented.
We would stay again.
