Great for a Bach party

Property was clean and as advertised. Beds were comfortable and the main area was a nice place for everyone to hang out. Rooms are small but we didn’t spend much time in them so wasn’t an issue for us. Nice that there were so many bathrooms washer/dryer.

The Syd - Best VRBO Ever!

Please see my full listing at The Syd "Street Parades" listing. In short, we rented all four units within the Syd (for a team retreat) and were BLOWN AWAY with how amazing The Syd was. By far, The Syd exceeded every one of my expectations (and all 21 team members that stayed). This is truly a special place and experience.

Beautiful Space in a Great Location

We had such a fun stay at The Syd. Clean, great amenities, huge tv, comfortable beds. plenty of towels. We had 6 guys, each had their own room, the place is very comfortable. Its close enough to the quarter that you can walk which we did. We loved the coffee maker with provided local coffee. The host was so responsive to anything we needed. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We'll book again when we come back for Jazz Fest.

Fantastic Stay in a great location

We had a group of 16 stay in one of the units. The pool and shared areas were well maintained. The unit itself had a large common area with high ceilings that we enjoyed hanging out in. There were plenty of beds and the unit itself was in good condition. Sam was our host and he was communicative and accommodating before and throughout our stay. Location in the warehouse district has a few gems around it, but was also a short drive to Bourbon and other areas we frequented. We would stay again.

Charming property for large geoups

We had 12 people stay at this property. It was lovely! The two downsides were the homeless.encpmwnts in the neighborhood and the complete lack of storage in the bedrooms. But otherwise, we absolutely loved the place. It's gated and quiet and felt secure. It was close to the streetcar. The kitchen is big enough for several co-chefs to maneuver -- but needs a new more mixing bowls and some standard staples (like salt and pepper, etc.). The layout was great, with a gathering space that was big enough for all of us to be in the same space with bedrooms down the hall. It was too cold for the pool on our visit, but the hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed.

This location and individual units are great. We had a large party and we were happy with the interior of the unit. It was clean and great. We did not enjoy the neighbors who rented the space above, as they had small children and they were not respectful of us. Very early in the morning (6a) children were jumping off beds and running across the unit above. We tried to talk to them about it and it continued. We were there for a birthday celebration and so needless to say in NOLA we were out late so an early morning of this was not pleasant. We did speak to the host about it were told they would address it, unfortunately we were leaving the next day very early so it didn't satify the experience we had already had. The outdoor space is set up great, all the amenties would be great if they were kept better. The pool was very dirty with natural leaves and bugs and appeared to not be regularly kept. There were leaves all over the turf area and the sitting furniture was not clean, several had bird droppings and stains from leaves and bugs. I was suprised to see a management office on the property with the outside area looking like this. I asked them to please clean the pool area one afternoon and they made a few swipes with a pool net and went back to their office. I would imagine a nice space like this someone would be blowing leaves and covering the furniture when not in use or bad weather. It did not appear that way. For these reasons I couldn't give it a 5 in all ca
