My wife and I stayed 5 nights the week of October 5th, as we were in town helping a close friend with a medical emergency. We were hardly at the room until finally the 4th morning we had a little extra time in the morning, and tried to warm a bagel in the microwave. Pressing the open button on the microwave would “pop” the door, but it would not open. Multiple attempts pushing the door closed and pressing the open button, and it was clear something was jammed and coming apart behind the door. We called the front desk, which is not on-site, and reported what was happening with the microwave. The person answering the phone said they could have someone look at it later, and we said that was not necessary, that we didn’t need to use it but wanted to report it. We heard nothing more about it, until we checked our credit card statement and Traill Inn charged us an extra $75 for damaging the microwave. We did not damage the microwave in any way, we called and reported the problem the first time we tried to use it. Multiple called to the site and finally getting a manager to talk with us live, he explained that the microwave is thoroughly checked by management after each stay, so we “had” to have broken it. We obviously will never have anything to do with the corporation that owns Trail Inn again, and we would caution anyone that stays there that if anything fails in the room while you are unlucky enough to be there, you will be charged for it.

Parking was fine. TV was difficult to navigate No staff onsite for help. Check in all digital No signage in front of motel Not worth the price. Who rates this motel so high. Deserved under 7. Showed 9.

We booked online and had no option to let them know we had the dog with us. This should be a box to check since the site says it is dog friendly. While loading in the morning we put it in the bathroom and somehow he broke the door handle. This was literally the cheapest door knob I've ever seen and the face of it came off the body. We are being charged $100 for a door knob that costs $20 at most and takes 2 screws to remove and replace it. So ridiculous.

Interesting property. It is a self check in. Ice available in office. It’s an old school outside entrance, park at your door motel. Rooms are freshened up very nicely. Keurig coffee and a big Roku TV. Comfortable bed. Just down the street from a McDonalds and a Pizza Hut. No breakfast, but a solid, fresh, clean place to sleep.

The parking lot was very safe. You get to pull right up to your room door. The room was clean. Never seen any staff. You sign in and out with a touch screen. Wi Fi seemed to work just fine.

Clean, amazingly easy self checkin, an older mom & pop motel that has been updated recently. Only negatives are the lack of an ice machine and relatively dim lights.

This motel was very clean. The check in was different as there was no person to talk to but the check in information is provided to the guest in a text. Check in process was easy. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Price was fair. I would recommend.
