Perfect spot for a weekend trip for a concert.Everything was straight forward, nothing confusing. Didnât use much as we only stayed for 2 nights, but worth it for the price!
We had a lovely stay at this property. Of note, the entrance is in the back of the house, the upper level might be rented as well. The check-in materials state this but I overlooked it the first time around. The space was clean, tidy, and the games were fun. Kara is a gracious host. This would be a great place to stay with a family, especially if you could get both levels.
Overall it worked for what we needed. Just a suggestion putting the fridge & microwave on a cabinet so itâs easily assessable. My husband has bad knees & it was hard for him to get things in & out.
Now that time has changed itâs harder to see down the side of the house, the little lights around the house are not coming on.
We had a great time in Pittsburgh for my sonâs basketball camp. The apartment was clean and inviting. All needed amenities were provided, and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed for over a monthâŠvery spaciousâŠcomfortable bedsâŠ..just what we needed while waiting for our closing. Kara was very responsive to any problems.
The house was very clean and private. A few things would make it a bit more user friendly, the small fridge off the floor, a small bistro table for eating or playing games. All in all a nice place!
We came in early and did stuff in Pittsburgh, got to the house late. We were happy with the house, there was a coffee pot but no coffee, we had bought some groceries with hopes there was a toaster so we could eat our jelly that we got at the orchard. But the overall stay was great!
This was a nice place to stay for one or two nights. Close to airport. Did not realize that there was nothing around to eat or do. We had to drive about 15-20 to find food and shopping. Other than that the home was modern, neat, and clean. My boys old and young loved the old school arcade!!!
Property was clean, spacious, and perfect for our weekend getaway. The Putt ParTee and arcade game were a fun way to pass time during the rain showers. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze and Kara made a point to reachout to us during our stay to make sure we were comfortable.
Karaâs place was just what we were looking for! Plenty of space, a great outdoor area and comfy couches and beds. Also a great entertainment system and of course a putting green and Galaga arcade machine are always a plus. Would highly recommend!
Lovely neighborhood
Beautiful renovation
Plenty of room
Sliders to outside
Picnic table and fire pit available
You do walk across the lawn down the side
of the garage.
Slightly sloping so would not be
disability accessible.
I really liked the communication with this owner and was looking forward to meeting her, but it never happened.
Also, it was hard. I'm in a WChair. Things bad...no HC help, carpet too think for chair. Toilet & shower were barless. No coffee cups
You need to state in your description that it is TOTALLY HC FREE
Was in town for a few weeks apartment was just as advertised. I was extremely pleased with my entire experience. When I come back to the area I definitely will be trying to stay here again. The room was clean. The area was pleasant right outside the door you have amazing views.
Loved how close it was to my family and to local shopping area. Loved the arcade game and the awesome TV. Cozy and comfy. Recommending this place to all my family and friends!
Stayed here for about two weeks for work purposes and it was such a comfortable stay. I told Kara this but the pictures here really didnât do it enough justice. The vibes are just perfect! Big TV, plenty of space, great entertainment, huge bathroom, and a nice modern look all around. All that itâs missing is a kitchen. Wouldâve been nice to have one but the microwave and tiny fridge got the job done for me.
Extra points from me as well for the soccer decor âœïž not my team but I highly enjoyed the retro England World Cup posters!!
My daughter and I stayed here for the weekend while in the area for a soccer tournament. Check in, host communication and friendliness, and the unit itself was all great. The neighborhood was quiet and very nice, my daughter brought her scooter and went up and down the street easily because traffic on the street is very minimal. Thus, if you are coming to explore the area this would be a great hub to rest and relax.
Kara, the host, was very easy to communicate with. The property was clean with the ammenities listed accurately. A small hiccup, a slow drain, was addressed quickly. For my stay with my teenage son this was a great property and priced right. While it did not cause any issues for us, if you have any mobility issues you may talk with the host first. This is a walkout basement with access at the back of the house and requires walking down a slight grade over grass to get to the covered patio where the door is. Should not be a concern for most folks, just a consideration.
When I found this property, I was excited that it had a video game machine that I used to play as a kid. Iâll save that for later.
Upon our arrival we met with the property owner who was very friendly. Entering into the apartment we noticed a strong scent of pets including urine. Since the owner lives on site I contacted her immediately. I told her I was extremely allergic to animals and the smell was intense. She said her dogs do go down into the apartment. We opened the 2 sets of French doors in an attempt to air it out, but it didnât help. I contacted Vrbo to file a complaint but that went nowhere. That evening, I had to run to Walmart to buy Pet Deodorizer to try to douse the smell. Of course, having the doors open (which had no privacy curtains) let in all the bugs which were landing on my face all night. The next day when we returned I noticed plug-in air fresheners. That did help a bit, but not with my allergies. I was popping medicine like candy and had to limit my time in the apartment to just sleeping and showering. Most of our time was spent outside around the fire pit or out galavanting. Vrbo was supposed to relocate me, but that never happened. It was 3 nights, so we dealt with it. As for the video game, itâs just for show. Thereâs no plug. I did take photos of everything I mentioned here, including a large stain on the carpet which looks like pet damage.
Positives were the nice property owner and the fire pit. Negatives was paying $500 to suffer because Vrbo was useless in helping me.
