I would give this property 5 stars if the payment/check in process hadn't been so sketchy.
When I booked, there was no option to pre-pay, only to pay at the property. Less than 24 hours before my check-in time, I received a message from the owner requesting my email so she could send me the "check-in instructions". I sent my email address, to which she sent a credit card authorization form and asked me to text a photo of my ID to a mobile number. This seemed wildly unprofessional to me as I've been an Expedia member for years and always see their disclaimers all over every correspondence, clearly stating NOT to share your personal information outside of the platform. I responded to the owner with a screenshot of Expedia's warning about sharing personal info/making payments outside of the app and then called customer service. After speaking with two Expedia representatives, the only options that were offered to me were to cancel or proceed with paying the owner outside of the platform. At this point, I had spent over 2 hours on the phone with them and it was after midnight, the day of my flight so I finally gave up, paid the owner and hoped for the best. I still feel extremely uncomfortable about the whole thing. After my credit card was charged, I received a text with the code to enter the property, as well as my unit.
As far as the property goes, I loved it. It's right on the beach and very clean with modern updates. Could not have asked for a better location.
