Great location and very walkable. Room and bathroom felt a little run down. Zero water pressure in the shower, which made washing hair a little problematic. I do not think I would stay here again due to the high cost for what you get. I think there are other options just as convenient in walkable for a better price.

Older hotel just need a little love

Hotel was nice but older. Was in an older room. Had to call down about ac. The ac unit is held up by a stick I would find something else instead of the stick. Went he unit cut on/off it was very loud. The bathroom mirror should be moved over you couldn’t stand in front of the mirror unless door was closed, but then you would get hot in the bathroom. The restaurant was nice but the outside fireplaces or options for space heaters weren’t working. They should always be working. The restaurant accommodates my daughters severe food allergies as did room service. The directions inside the hotel to roof bar or other things were a bit confusing. 45 a night valet with in and out privileges was nice.

My reception at the front desk was lukewarm at best. Our room was small, right next to the elevator and overlooked the satellite dish but we were too tired to ask for a change, so I will own that. The bed was comfy, but the cooling unit made it impossible for us to sleep comfortably. It blasted arctic air until the desired temperature was reached, then shut off completely until we were too hot. Finally we just shut it off and slept without sheets. On the plus side, after the initial front desk encounter, the staff was warm and helpful, especially Mark at the bar.

Asie from this hotel's age, there is nothing charming about it. It is overpriced and at the price they charge lack the amenities and services one would expect. While, the parking is convenient and is on the "main drag"the attention to detail is shocking. Their menu offering is limited and, if it were not in Newport, it would be out of business. The carpeting is old and not fitting with the rest of the hotel. Their staffing levels are inadequate and the menu offerings are poor. In fact, even the menus show a lack of detail. Save your money, go to a Red Roof Inn and take an Uber when needed, you will have a better experience.

This Hotel is great. High end, despite its age. Location is central, making lots of activities walkable. But in/out Valet was available if driving. It is an interesting property. Really enjoyed it and Newport!
