Oceanfront serenity awaits the two of you at Ocean Wind Retreat, a very romantic getaway spot for 2. Sauna and 4-person size soaking tub with ocean view. Dog friendly, yard off deck, view of the light house, queen bed, TV and WIFI. There is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. The front room has a kitchenette: fridge, coffee maker, micro-wave, toaster, electric wok (there is no oven or range) and utensils. A gas Cuisinart BBQ is available for private use by the deck on the ocean side of the front yard.

The front room has a Captains Bed perched high to optimize comfort and the scenery outdoors. Step outside to a spacious oceanfront deck and yard, or seek out the path overlooking the beach with love seat and complete privacy. A large indoor soaking tub, beautifully tiled, with ocean view and an indoor sauna add to the rest and relaxation of this wonderful retreat! The bedroom: queen bed, open closet, dresser, TV and "fire" light for ambience, has a view of the light house. Host provides flowers and gift basket free of charge.

A favorite vacation, birthday and honeymoon spot. Located at the South end of Nye Beach in Newport, OR, just next door to Georgie's Beach side grill for scrumptious dining. Enjoy the Newport Performing Arts Center, many area restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting and several music venues. Less than 3 minutes to the Newport Bayfront, Hatfield Marine Science Center or the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Walking distance to two parks.

This apartment is on the ground floor, with a permanent residence above where the host/owner is available if needed. Jeanne is a wonderful host very kind woman every time I come back to Newport. This is the place I’m going to stay. You have easy access to the beach and the stairs are wonderful especially for us older women who need to keep our toes a little tighter every now and then there’s a playground right next to us as well so it’s highly recommended.

Our stay was perfect. Jeannie is an amazing Host! She went above and beyond to make Bunny and I feel at home. Including welcome treats for us both! She was always ready with recommendations or suggestions when asked, but also gave us privacy. We loved the cozy space, the sauna and the super comfortable bed. And you cannot beat the view (stunning!) or proximity to the beach. I would 100% recommend this home, the location and the host! Will definitely return!

This lovely spot, set on a bluff in the heart of Newport, was perfect for our "Winter week away"! We (and our Dog Dot) were welcomed to spectacular Pacific Coastal Views, and by a variety of thoughtful amenities provided by our host. The adjacent stairway to the beach gave us the chance to walk, and let our dog run on the beach every day. It is close to both the Nye Beach and Harbor areas, as well as -- great places to enjoy excellent food and restful hours!

We had the most amazing stay and truly didn’t want to leave. Jeannie was an incredible host from start to finish. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather the entire time, with stunning sunrises and sunsets that made every morning and evening feel special. The sauna and soaking tub were unbelievably relaxing and quickly became our favorite way to unwind. The space itself is absolutely adorable, so thoughtfully designed, cozy, and welcoming. The little yard was perfect for our dogs to safely run around and enjoy themselves, and the easy access to the beach made it effortless to get outside and explore. One of the most thoughtful touches was the gift basket Jeannie left for both us and our dogs, which made us feel so genuinely cared for and welcomed. This place felt like a true retreat, and we cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful and Quiet Retreat

The property was clean and beautiful, with a sauna and a big tub that made warming up easy.Beach access couldn’t be easier, as long as you can do a flight of stairs. Just down the street was a State Park with more beach access and a historic lighthouse, basically under the picturesque Newport bridge.The property owner was warm and welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better stay on the Oregon coast.

Charming couples oceanfront stay

Lovely location with ocean views and proximity to the beach in Newport. The host welcomed us with flowers in the rooms and a treat basket including snacks and wine. A side gate leads to steps down to the beach. My husband enjoyed the sauna. This was our third stay and it never disappoints.
