A nice property on the water, walking distance from restaurants and bars in downtown Newport. The room was good. No real counter space in the bath but sufficient space in the room. Parking is a shared lot with the city. It’s free to guests. Check it out!

The location was great, with lots of shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby, but the hotel itself was not up-to-date and needs refurbishing. The Internet was down for most of the 4 days we were there. The air conditioning unit was very loud. When we closed the AC and opened the window (which only opened a few inches), it was very noisy outside with people coming and going at all times of night and early morning.

On the plus side, the location and view was fantastic, the water pressure in the shower was great, the mattress was comfortable and the pillows were great. Also the manager was very helpful and friendly, but I didn’t find that in the other employees. The room was very noisy, can hear people above and around us. Older hotel, so bathroom lacked a fan so walls, ceiling and mirrors all wet and foggy. Also some tv channels did not come in. Small tv.

What I didnt like about the property was the pool. First it was not heated as advertised on the website. Second our key wouldnt work to open the door. I went to front desk and he was able to open the pool door but said my key must have gotten demagnatized. That was a lie another guest was trying to get in and the same thing happened to them. Third the pool is falling apart and it didnt look like anyone cleaned it in weeks. Really disappointing.

Horrible stay

The room floor was gross stained !! Bathtub and shower back up and toilet does not flush with it backings up !! The front end staff was rude especially the tall blond middle age lady !!
