This beautiful and home place had a beautiful view of the Newport bridge from the South jetty. A large kitchen making it easy to cook meals or bake yummy desserts with kids with some kitchen appliances such as a blender and waffle iron. Plenty of storage for clothing. Heating was amazing. Each room was cozy. There are also books and board games supplied to occupy guests on the wet & cold coastal days. There is also an xlarge dog kennel available. The hot tub was also a nice addition to relax in after a long day of being on your feet! We are already looking to plan a summer trip to return here.
It was a pet friendly home and large enough for everyone. It was a nice stay, there was a beautiful mushroom we were enjoying watching grow in the backyard during our stay. Until someone picked it!
The view was excellent and the location was great. The house worked well for two people and two dogs, and overall it was clean on the surface. That said, it could use some attention with deeper cleaning, such as the carpets, walls, bath mats, fixtures, and blinds. It has definitely seen it's fair share of renters. Iâve stayed in better places and Iâve stayed in worse, both for less and for more money, so Iâd give this 3 stars. Would I stay again? Most likely, unless another place offered comparable value and better upkeep.
The property was beautiful the carpets need cleaned or updated the dishes where not very clean had to re wash the dishes in the cupboard that we went to use, needs some updated cooking utensils, and cookware, carpet by sliding glass door is very slick when you step on it. The hot tub has funky seats if your short there's only one you can sit on comfortably without the water coming up to your chin, the upstairs shower had chips of molding or something falling into the shower floor, there are absolutely no screens in the window's anywhere in the house except one window upstairs that was bent to crap and hanging off so it was pointless, the fire alarm kept chirping off until my husband reset the button, there was sand on the bedroom floor when we arrived, there was an ant problem in the kitchen, the ping pong table was warped and the net needs replaced all the white plastic was falling into confetti on the table, there where no fishing poles as listed and the clam digger is completely rusted and useless pretty much, the outdoor furniture needs a bit updated, but on the plus side the house itself was amazing along with the views and the kitchen was really nice, the bay is a few short steps from the back yard , there was ample towels and bedding, and the location of the house is very close to the brewery and the aquarium, and the crabbing and fishing dock. They need to update their games pieces are missing and kinda janky. Other than that great place !
The house is very nice, the neighborhood is quiet. Spent time with my new granddaughter and family. Only a short walk to the beach and a short walk to the rouge brewery. Would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to stay there again.
We were in town to support our daughter running the Newport Marathon. The location worked out perfectly and the layout of the home was perfect for two couples and our dog. Communication with the host was easy and informative. We would highly recommend and look to stay again on our next visit.
The location is star. Having an opportunity to watch boats and ocean creatures frolicking all day was wonderful! Within quick walking distance of a very long wooden fishing pier, a brewery with great food, a tsunami survival zone, an 1800's primitive graveyard and the beach. A state park is around the corner with many nice protected walking trails. The house was warm and clean and the spa was so wonderful after a day of walking and walking.
Great location, helpful host, needs some things fixed.
Overall it was a great home but just had some issues that should have been addressed prior to our arrival.
The trash in the kitchen was full when we got there from the previous renters so the smell wasn't great.
The dryer did not work at all and upon emptying the lint trap it seemed as though it has never been cleaned. The host did send a maintenance person over but they also had no luck so she did say we could use the dryer in another rental across town or go to the laundromat.
The posting said there was an air mattress but we couldn't find it anywhere. After asking the host she found out it got moved to another property and said she could drop it off. We ended up just doubling up in each room since it was all women anyway.
It seemed as though the upstairs climate control didn't work at all so it was always pretty hot up there no matter what we did.
In the instructions before check in it said we needed a waiver signed before riding the bikes by texting a phone number and them sending via DocuSign. We did text for the waiver but never got a reply so we never utilized the bikes. One of the tires was also flat.
Although there were issues the host attempted to correct everything besides my last problem which was a bug found in the upstairs bed (possibly a bed bug). I sent her a picture and never got a response. Thankfully it was our last day because if I had found it the first day, we wouldn't have stayed. I believe a refund is in order for the majority of these issues.
Beautiful place. Minor changes would make it even better.
I came here my husband and with another couple and we both brought our dogs. It was really nice to have our animals with us. This is a beautiful place. Awesome view. Comfortable beds, comfortable couches to watch TV. Nice big kitchen but it could use a few more pots and pans. There is no saran wrap or Ziplocâs so you should bring your own. The hot tub water was dirty so we didnât use that but it wouldâve been nice to have it clean. The toilet paper is tissue thin, so luckily we brought our own. Other than these Small things. It is a wonderful place to stay.
