The barn was clean, had excellent facilities and generally had a "new" feel about the place having been renovated not too long ago, overall I think it was good for the money. The only thing we could fault about the place was the skylights - there were no blinds meaning you got woken up at 7am when the sun light poured in! If the skylights had blackout blinds added then we would probably stay again. Thanks for the stay, James.

It was a pleasure being able to stay in this beautiful accommodation. Lovely location, making it easy to go on walks and drives to see the incredible views that Cornwall has to offer! Highly recommend!

We were looking forward to the sea view but there isn't any view apart from the tall fence. The parking area is not great, a big slope makes it difficult especially because its on a sharp corner of the road. The WiFi wasn’t working the first 2 days. Its a lovely place but bring your own toiletries. It's a nice place, nicely designed and 15min walk to the Waterbay beach.

Amazing place!

Lovely place, very clean and tucked away. Definitely would recommend! Did struggle getting my car onto the drive as theres a bit of a bump up the ramp. So if u got a low/long vehicle its something to be aware of

Steep sharp slope on drive knocked exhaust . This caused problems on every exit and entrance. Unfortunatley we had a family of Shrews living under washing machine. I removed 4 myself from accomodation. Fixters and fitting all fine although cupboards have a musty smell? maybe passed water damage ?

Booked this a couple of weeks in advance. was told a few days before that it was unavailable due to building work not completed. Have been chasing refund through hotels.com who are unable to contact the owner. still chasing. Cannot comment on condition of actual property so had to rate terrible due to the never being able to stay here and the total lack of ability to get my money back so far.

Recent Stay review.

We enjoyed our time at Storm barn, but wondered if you were aware that the oven door doesn't stay shut when using it. The shower support pole comes out of its holders which is a bit annoying when you are showering. Also we couldn't use the washing up bowl as the dustpan and brush had been placed inside it which isn't very hygienic. We founfd the wash basin so tiny you couldn't wash in it and the lack of a wardrobe with just 4 coat hangers on a coat peg rail a bit too basic and minimal. The bed was a king size for which we were very grateful and it would have been very helpful to have known the TV is run via wifi only, we aren't all TV computer literate. The parking space needs to be made clearer before booking about the steep slope to access it. Our car fortunately just cleared it. You certainly couldn't have parked alongside it. There is no dishwasher which was in the description that I read. There was bed linen provided and towels. The place was clean and tidy and looks very much as the pictures.

Nice place but......

The property was nice & well decorated however, all homely touches had been removed (understandbly) due to Covid-19. - Property could benefit from a wardrobe - hangers & hooks are provided but as you are cooking in the same space, it made the clothes smell. - One of the dining table cars was broken on the back & so we didn't want to use it. - The bed frame could do with being replaced, it had rust on it & every time you moved let out a loud creaking noise. - On a main road so a lot of traffic noise & also dangerous to walk anywhere. - Parking space issue could be looked at.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Storm Barn, Watergate Bay - ideal for small / young families as a base for exploring Cornwall with the stunning Watergate Bay just a half-a-mile walk from the Barn itself. The Barn was exactly as shown in the photo's and communication with the Host great. Recommended!

We came here for a long weekend to relax and the Storm Barn was just perfect for us! It’s a cosy place where you feel at home immediately. The instructions were very clear and it was easy to find. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quiet holiday in a beautiful surrounding. We will definitely come back!

Hidden Gem.

Spent 5 nights in Storm Barn during some stormy weather ironically. Lovely place with some lovely touches. Thank you for the biscuits and drink btw. Very cosy place. Would definitely stay again. Ideally situated for watergate Bay.

Disappointed by the lack of a sea view

The Storm Barn is exactly as the photos suggest - tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped. It is located in a small settlement with easy access to most of Cornwall. The one thing for us that let it down was the inaccurate description of it's location on Hotel.com. which we suspect was based on the owners postcode rather than that of Storm Barn (they are very similar). Based on the owners postcode the property was a 'one minute walk to the beach' and had a 'sea view.' Living inland we were prepared to pay over the odds for a week looking at the sea but in reality the only thing you can see from the property is a boundary wall/fence. It's a mile to the beach but you need to walk on the road (no pavements) around a series of sharp bends, so not at all suitable for young children. Given that, in spite of being a beautiful property, it is overpriced for the size. Hotel.com need to update their description. I tried to add my own picture of the 'view' but it won't upload.

Einrichtung sehr modern und geschmackvoll. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Schade, dass man wegen ein Mal WĂ€sche waschen eine ganze Packung Pods kaufen musste, weil keine gestellt wurden. Es gab leider auch keine KĂŒchenrolle. Am meisten gestört hat uns, dass kein Fenster ausgestellt werden konnte. Die TĂŒren wollten wir ĂŒber Nacht nicht offen stehen lassen, falls Tiere (z.B. Katzen) in der Gegend leben und ggf. reinkommen. Anleitung fĂŒr den Backofen wĂ€re gut gewesen.

Storm Barn kan varmt anbefales til et sommerophold ved Cornwalls dramatiske kyst. Det renoverede stenhus rummer alt, hvad der er brug for, hvis man Ăžnsker et selfcatering ophold ved havet. Huset er indrettet i skandinavisk stil - let og lyst.
