Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty.

The receptionist Carol was lovely at check in and our room was lovely and clean with evrything we needed. The shower was tremendous. Food good and good choices and waitresses were very pleasant. The room was a bit out of the way on level -2 with a view of the wall out of the window and there was a couple things that could have done with being fixed hole in wall, mirror in bathroom etc but overall was a really good stay. The spa was nice but quite busy so hard to get good use of pool and hot tub. The restaurant was a good experience really nice food and the staff were nice and helpful.
