Unique private access studio in paradise.

Perched on a hill-top of thirteen wooded acres—dark night skies and amazing hikes/view--22 miles north of San Francisco in the midst of tranquil paradise. A most unique and isolated getaways in the Bay Area, yet WiFi and cell coverage. Scenic, windy and at times bumpy paved one mile drive off of Lucas Valley road. Down 24 steps from unit is a gorgeous hot-tub. Designer furniture, down comforter, beautiful art, high-end linens. A spacious studio, and we can bring in an extra single bed that can be requested.

The space
This is a large studio with work area and great wifi. Private entrance and deck. There’s a microwave, drip coffee, coffee, tea, plates, spoons, etc—mini-frig and utensils; but no kitchen. New Casper memory foam mattress. We provide extra heaters so occupants can control the temp during cold season. There are only two other people who live in the main house. Best of the place: star gazing at night from the hot tub which is 24 steps from the unit, or watching hawks circle the grounds at eye level. We are on well water.

We have ample parking and are located 25 minutes from the closest downtown.

Other things to note
Our place is in Marin (Nicasio) and up a beautiful one mile drive through a wooded area. Although we are not far from civilization, it feels very remote and amazingly beautiful. Not that remote, but once you come you may want not to leave... We have a sauna and ice bath that can be used for an extra charge, please ask.

Some ambient noise is possible from main house.

The room is ideal for two, but for a small charge we can bring in a roll away bed and extra linens for a child, or extra person, or if you need two beds. Please ask and pay ahead of time so our cleaners are aware.

Also, it may be possible to book a two-hour early check-in or check out for $25. If desired, please request and we will ask the cleaner.

We know people come to our place to relax, and we respect this.

For us it was a completely disappointing stay
The holiday apartment did not meet our expectations. All in all, the holiday apartment seemed unkempt and unclean to us. We found the furnishings more like youth hostel style. Everything seemed extremely unloving to us. In the room description it was written that there was a balcony or terrace. However, we were given a room without a balcony or terrace. The landlady told us that we should use a small metal table and two chairs in the hallway directly in front of the other holiday apartment. However, we didn't like that. We found it very cold in the room as we couldn't find any heating installed. We found the beds to be clammy and damp. Directly behind the bed there was a room in which all sorts of stuff was thrown in. We had the feeling that a musty smell was wafting into the room from this chamber. We had to leave after two nights because we couldn't take it anymore. We didn't get any money refunded upon request. We cannot recommend this accommodation more highly.

Quiet time in nature
Wonderful property. The directions from the host were really helpful. The bed was so comfortable, we're going to buy a new mattress! Lovely and quiet. Lots of birds. We inconvenienced the owner by not knowing our check out date, which she was gracious about. Then my husband lost his wallet, and Beth looked for us. Great host!

Small, but cute place. Not ideal for teen kids (mine were not enthused), but would have been nice for a couple. Hot tub was nice n hot and clean! No frills or extras - don't forget to bring snacks. There is biting near by!

Beautiful location
This property is in a stunning location with a beautiful view. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. Lots of great hiking near by and close enough to restaurants and other activities.

Enchanting Escape: A Five-Star Retreat with Breathtaking Views and Gracious Host
An absolute gem! I wish I could give this home more than five stars. The location is breathtaking, the room is beautifully appointed with unbeatable views. The symphony of frogs at night was a lullaby. The hot tub and sauna are divine, set amidst beautiful grounds. Beth, the host, is fantastic! A perfect retreat.

Second time at this property this time on my own, and a great spot to stay to go Point Reyes, and areas east-San Rafael, Novato. Extremely quiet, with woods and sometimes wildlife, like deer. No TV, radio, cell phone coverage is spotty. Depending on your carrier... This is the place to unplug.
