Well appointed very pleasant house in lovely location
Finding the house proved a little difficult!
The location is lovely: quiet, lots of outdoor space, surrounded by woods and fields, on the edge of a national park.
The house has everything one needs (- a few more tea towels would have helped!). All important things worked. It was great to have so many play things for children - bikes, buggies, play house etc. - and table tennis and billiard table for all.
A few small things perhaps need attention:
-The toggle plug in bathroom basin on left of stairs going up, does not stop water draining out when "closed" and when open the water takes a long time to drain away (? needs unblocking).
- A few more places to hang things in the bathrooms would have helped, as would a small shelf in the shower to hold soap, shampoo etc.
-The dishwasher lower tray is difficult to get back into the machine when loaded - the wheels come off the track easily. Also some instructions for the dishwasher would help, we had to look up on line what the settings meant. The dishwasher needs salt, but Albert Heijn did not stock it so we could not replenish it.
-It would be nice if there were a couple of ice trays in the freezer to make ice cubes.
-The kitchen knives need sharpening!!
Altogether a thorough pleasant house and surroundings.
We did not get to meet the owner / property manager, since no assistance was needed, but we could have telephoned if necessary. So the rating of 5 stars is based on optimism rather than fact!!
