As travelers ourselves we value transparency, here are some specific things to be aware of.
- This house is in great shape and all our furniture is new. However the bathrooms and the kitchen could use an updating.
- Please note that the tub is perfectly clean, and functional, but has a slightly unsightly corrosion stain from an improper clean. It's perfectly safe, just not cute.
- We have our home professionally treated for pests and in the hot season we have it treated for mosquitoes to make the yard more fun and less buggy. That being said, this is still the deep south, and you may see a bug. This is not an indication of cleanliness, just the reality of a humid swampy area :) If you do see one just call us.
- This neighborhood is safe and our neighbors are chill but no area is perfect. Some people's yards look great, others don't. Some houses are pristine, some need updating. However this area is walkable and has plenty of kids in the area.

Pet friendly with no carpet in the main living space. Coffee maker was great. Web access was a little slow to meet our computer needs. The house furnishings while comfortable were old and could use cleaning. The location was perfect for our stay.

I would stay here again. Comfortable and Clean beds and towels. The house is a little dated, but clean and functional. I especially loved that there was coffee and creamer when we arrived. It fit my family of 7 well! Ceiling fans in every room was a nice feature as well!

Too many caveats about limiting expectations

I get that perfection is your goal as far as cleanliness but the bathrooms are dirty and have mold. Your cleaning service must improve. Even though you promise to make it right, after we check in it’s too late. For the fees charged it should be cleaner. Paint on floor in master, overall condition dated. Outside furniture and grill should all be replaced. Offered my number to call me direct but didn’t take me up on my offer. Neighbor hood very safe
cop lives on the same street. Close to airport- jets landing and army carrier planes. My father in law fell at the site due to step down in sunken living room. Step seam high.

Fun Weekend

We had a fun weekend in Charleston. This property was within a reasonable drive to Patriot Point Naval Maritime Museum, the Fort Sumter Tour, Golf courses and Restaurants. The property was comfortable with plenty of space. The property manager was also very accommodating when we requested a late check out due to a tour that was booked on the final day of our stay . Wonderful stay.

The house was clean! Our host was friendly and a great communicator! Told us if we needed anything all we had to do was ask. I couldn’t recommend this property enough, it was perfect for our girls weekend. (It’s a 17 minute drive downtown and about 30ish mins from the beach, for those wondering)

Great home for a great price!

This was our first stay in Charleston, SC. The Yan was affordable, exactly what we needed for our group. If you are looking to stay on the northern end of Charleston, I would recommend staying here!

Quiet location

This home is in a very quiet and secure neighborhood. We felt safe and comfortable staying there. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked perfectly, which was much needed as the weather was so hot. We were about 20 to 30 min from downtown Charleston which was great for our needs. Check in was super easy. There were a few issues, but we were able to reach the host quickly and they were handled immediately. I would stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I along with his parents, a nephew, our son and my mother stayed Monday through Friday and it was great. The room with the bunk beds was a perfect teen space. The kitchen was nice and spacious. We were very pleased with the complimentary coffee and water. The neighborhood was nice. Very pleased all the way around.

Had the opportunity to stay at "The Yan" perfect spot for our group that participated for the cooper river bridge run. Perfect for our group getting our rest and being on the go!Very close to highways and all the attractions! Thanks so much!

Multigenerational Visit

We were in town for our child's swim meet and the Yan house was perfectly located for our needs; close to the aquatics center, target, a mall, and chain restaurants. We were able to venture into downtown Charleston for the evening without difficulty. Our kids loved the loft, my in-laws were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Nice house in north charleston

We had a good time in Charleston. The apartment was renovated in a nice modern style. Some details (lights too much neon, color spots on the floor) could be improved. The kitchen had every necessary equipment, including coffee. Beds were comfortable.

We found this property to be clean, well-equipped, quite comfortable, roomy, and convenient to Interstate 26. There are many stores in the area of all types, and that was convenient as well. We had no issues at all, and I would definite stay at this house again on a trip to the Charleston area. As a bonus, the owner/manager was responsive for any questions we had. Five Stars!
