We stayed for around 6 weeks. This was a great place to live. Quiet, close to everything. Well appointed and modern. I need to address the neg review someone else wrote. The stairs to the other units are not near the bedroom. Theyâre near the kitchen and present no
Pros: The lovely view; ground-level unit made it easy to load/unload; backdoor access to Pudding Pond trails; good water pressure; plenty of hot water; thermostats and fire protection in each room. Cons: Inadequate cleaning; no sound insulation between floors or neighboring units; steps to the upper units are right outside the bedroom window; bedroom blinds do not fully cover the windows; no closets in the master; missing power cord to the Roku TV.
In summary, great location with spectacular views. The unit has adequate lighting, almost scalding hot water from the tap, ample linens, full-sized appliances, user-friendly electronics and thermostats, and convenient parking. It is open, airy, tastefully decorated, and devoid of personal clutter. There were no kitchen towels, but some essentials were provided.
Having said that, I would not stay here again for the price. I do not have unusually high cleaning standards, but my first impression was that it was filthy. I felt like everything needed to be washed before I could use it. Despite the exorbitant cleaning fees I was already charged, I opted to have it professionally cleaned at my own expense. This could be a 4-5-star rental with proper supervision, BUT only if you are NOT noise-sensitive. Late-night arrivals plodding wooden stairs outside the bedroom windows, coupled with the vibrations of every step, conversation, and appliance overheard from the neighboring units above, was enough of a future deterrent for me.
The owner thought of everything. We even had a crockpot. The place was clean and the beds were really comfortable and the couches werenât worn out. Everything was perfect. We were close to town but close to walking paths. Would definitely recommend
