Very disappointed
Let me start off by saying my husband and I have never given a poor rating on any property that we have stayed in from VRBO. This is the first. Biggest turn off was roaches. 2 different types of roaches. We had a roach problem from the 1st day up until we left. We would be watching television and cockroaches scurry across the floor. My husband found 2 cans of Raid bug spray in the closet so someone knows there is a bug problem. This was huge for us. Never experienced this before. And this is the biggest reason for our critique. Here are a few more smaller things.
- dishes on-site are horrible. Primarily the pots and pans.
- no dish washer. Anytime we cook we had to wash dishes afterwards and home owner reminds you to wash the dishes before leaving his site.
- secondary stand up shower is tiny. My kids complained about having no room to maneuver in it.
- television in bedrooms is a small investment and owner should consider and entire family may not want to watch the same things.
- beds and furniture were very fragile and uncomfortable.
- 4 flights of stairs to get to the unit. (1st floor is where cars are parked) Recently had knee surgery and we may have passed on this unit if we knew it was 4 flights of stairs to get to unit with bags and groceries.
- ran into issue with AC unit where the temp wouldnât go down. We believe unit was frozen, so we cut it off for an hr, and turned it back on. It seem to work after that. Owner was very responsive and offered to have someone come out if issue persists.
This is not a bad property at all. The owner seems to be a responsive owner. It just needs some upgrades and some TLC and Iâm certain it will be great. Insect problem needs to be addressed asap. Iâm sorry we couldnât give a better rating.
