Biplane Hangar: Lakeviews with Northern Lights

Elegant 1-bedroom with bath in a serene natural lakeside setting on an airstrip, perfectly situated for aurora viewing from the yard.

We’re 1.6 miles from the iconic Santa Claus House & North Pole amenities, restaurants, & shops including hardware, auto parts & groceries. Only 15 minutes to Eielson AFB & Ft Wainwright, we are an ideal location for work, relaxation, adventure or all three!

Everything you need and more, including refrigerator with freezer, microwave, and spacious writing desk.
Please take your shoes off when entering the house.

No Smoking indoors. Receptacles for cigarette butts are provided outdoors.
-$500 fine will be incurred if there has been smoking in the unit.

Quiet Hours are from 10 pm to 9 am. No more than the authorized # of guests at the house during quiet hours.

No disruptive events or parties. Airbnb guidelines state that if a guest is reported for a disruptive party or violating Airbnb`s party and events policy, they may be subject to suspension or removal from the Airbnb platform. In addition, the host may also ask that you vacate the property and no refund will be given.

Travel insurance is recommended. As with any vacation, unexpected situations sometimes occur that can put a damper on even the best-planned trips. Upon completing your reservation, we will provide you with an optional third-party Travel Insurance policy.

Located on a small lake the property is quiet and comfortable. While there is not a full kitchen there is a small fridge, toaster, keurig and microwave. Bed is very comfortable and there is a ceiling fan above. Unit is the size of a small hotel room and has a desk and some seating so you can relax without using the bed.

More than 5 stars if I could!

Best hosts out there! I stayed in the Big Horn room for 2 weeks and then moved to the other side of the hanger after my husband arrived for another 2 weeks. The Big Horn room was perfect for a nice place to rest and work. Very comfortable bed and great bedding (I’m picky about beds and this one was great!) Everything was very clean and like new. All of the extras included with this property just puts it over the top. Go for a swim, go fishing or take out the canoe or paddle boards. They have thought of everything!
