Very disappointing
Publié le 6 mars 2024 sur HotelsBooked for 1 night away after hectic schedules checked in then went out to eat. When we returned the room was freezing, no telephone in the room so had to ring reception from my mobile who responded with he’d turn the boiler on. Went to get in the shower only to find there was no hot water at all in the bathroom had to get dressed and go down to reception. There’s no real reception just security who said he could provide a portable heater not sure how this was gonna resolve the water issue. He then suggested the water might be ok in the morning, that doesn’t help when you need to shower. In the end I checked out in the early hours after freezing and returned home. Nunsmere and hotels.com have been less than helpful and are refusing a refund. If I book a hotel I expect the very basics of warmth and hot water. Really disappointing stay, I work in hospitality and both companies need to brush up on their customer service skills

Elegant Hotel with Character

Not really impressed
Publié le 14 févr. 2024 sur HotelsHotel bedroom uncomfortably hot and radiator stuck on max. Booked room for 2adults and 1 child and there was no bed for the child. Reception staff quite curt and said it would cost an additional £30 since they had no knowledge of child. Luckily I had evidence with me and the charge was removed. The lift had a sign saying intermittent fault causing it to get stuck. Not good when on 3rd floor. Not impressed overall.

One night stay
Publié le 13 févr. 2024 sur HotelsStayed for 1 night as visiting the area. Lovely building, lift wasn't working which we didn't know and got stuck! Got out the lift and didn't use again! Few things amiss with room-table lamp shades shabby and bits peeling off. Shower pressure not great, however comfy bed and clean. Some bubble bath would be nice & more coffee please. Not great to have smoking outside the entrance-awkward for smokers and non-smokers.
