Food are not the best, only one restaurant on the island. Breakfast and lunch are similar. Over the water bungalo is great, as nice as per pictures. Good air conditioning, snorkelling is better than maldives! See alots of turtle which is the highlight of the trip. However, the snorkelling gear, i recommend to bring your own

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea Ilot Maitre Resort for three nights, and it was an excellent experience. The resort is located on a beautiful island, accessible by ferry, which adds to the sense of escape and exclusivity. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, with pristine, crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life. Snorkelling was the highlight of our trip we were lucky enough to see turtles, which made it even more special. The resort offers great amenities, and overall, the stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The only downside was the limited dining options and relatively high prices, but that’s somewhat expected for a remote island resort. Overall, we have no real complaints it was a fantastic stay and created memories we’ll cherish for years to come.

Fabulous spot with wide verity of wild life. Amazing snorkeling spot and bird watching. Food variety was a problem but you could hop on the ferry for free and drop down to the restaurant at Moselle Bay and have great food!

Double Tree is a very nice place to stay, the rooms are well appointed and spacious. The staff are all awesome and very welcoming and accommodating for those with little to no French. Most reviews mention the food choices or lack of, this is very common throughout the South Pacific islands. We did have the buffet 3 times out of 8 and Yes, it is over priced for what it is, however if you join Hilton rewards it is discounted. Plenty of marine life close in for snorkeling and the water is quite shallow and protected for those not confident. Chances we will return in future

Fabulous staff, so helpful accommodating and friendly. Beautiful location with such a wonderful focus on conservation. The Pilotes Overwater bungalows are an absolute highlight, comfortable, spacious and with gorgeous views. An true highlight to be watching the turtles and snorkelling with them right off the deck.

Rooms were excellent and rather spacious. Air conditioning worked well and the island facilities were great. The water does look as pristine as the pictures and with a snorkel and some flippers you'll get a close up with some turtles and maybe even a sea snake. Food was decent pretty good selection nothing to complain about here.

Our experience at the Doubletree Hilton over the water bungalows was incredible. We could not fault a thing, The resort itself was beyond anything we imagined, everything in the bungalow was in excellent condition, we stepped out from room to snorkel and saw the breathtaking reefs and corals and swam with the turtles. The staff were helpful and courteous, the open buffets in for breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the water activities were endless. We also had complementary boat rides to & from the Ilot Maitre resort to the main island all day long. If God wills, we'll be going back again, Can't recommend it enough! au revoir :)

The quality and variety of food available were extremely limited, and the standard was well below what would be considered acceptable for a hotel of this calibre. As the hotel is located on an island off Nouméa, we had no alternative dining options and were effectively restricted to what was offered on-site. We basically ate chips for dinner most nights and a ham roll for lunch saving half for dinner. The food was also quite expensive, we racked up a $1000 for the week , most of it on food we couldn’t eat. The breakfast was terrible and if you didn’t get there early a lot would be gone and not replenished. It was a tough week. This was why we contact you to see if it was possible to transfer to a different hotel but unfortunately you were unable to help.

Real paradise for people looking for snorkeling and relaxing in water.
