My safe was opened. Another person in our party left money and was robbed. The supper buffet was extremely overpriced and terrible. Power outages and wifi unreliable in the night.

Dear Bethany,Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us, and we appreciate your patience as we conducted a thorough investigation into your concerns.Your feedback is valuable.Firstly,we would like to address the issue of the in-room safe.Our investigation confirmed that no staff,including housekeeping or maintenance,entered your room without your permission during your stay from your arrival date which was 9th of October through 16th October when you departed.The lock reading data indicates staff card activity only on two occasions :once before your arrival and on 12th of October, when the room was cleaned by one of our housekeeping team, Peninah, as per your request in your presence.Furthermore,we want to highlight that the cleaning process for your group was carried out only in your presence,as per your initial request,which our housekeeping team adhered to.After reviewing the lock readings and CCTV footage, we found no evidence of any staff intrusion.It appears that the safe issue could likely be attributed to a malfunction.In response,we have initiated measures to prevent such technical inconveniences in the future through ongoing general maintenance. While we could not identify any staff intrusion, we acknowledge the distress this incident may have caused and we can provide tangible proof of our investigation if needed.Your feedback about the supper buffet pricing and quality has been noted,and we will take it into consideration.Our aim is to provide a dining experience that aligns more closely with the expectations of our valued guests.Regarding the power situation and WiFi disruptions during the night,we understand the inconvenience you encountered.Rest assured,there was no actual power outages,but rather a brief transition from the main electricity supply to our generator system when the main supply of electricity goes off.Additionally,WiFi performance might have been affected due to heavy network traffic which can lead to a slow down in connection.We are actively taking measures to increase our bandwidth to ensure a smoother internet experience for our guests.Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we are committed to making your future visits more enjoyable and comfortable.Once again,kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvinience these may have caused you and your group. Deep relaxation, Uber Service!

My curiosity was piqued when I read stellar reviews of EPIC Hotel and Suites on a FB Group called “Expats in Kigali”. Knowing that I was returning to Rwanda for a Rwandese wedding and would have a few additional days to head to the northeastern corner of the country, I booked a room for myself and my friend, and off we went. Much to our mutual surprise, we entered a truly delightful respite- with perhaps the best bed I have ever slept on, exceptional management (with a special shout out to Mr. Sandeep Moorjani, the Food and Beverage Manager, who was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful, attentive, friendly without being intrusive, and solicitous. All he wanted was an ultra-satisfied customer and talk about aiming to please!!! If he wasn’t trained in a Swiss hotel management school, it must have been somewhere just as outstanding.) My friend and I had spent the preceding night within Akagera National Park (no other lodging names to be specified within this review, though p.m. me if you want a FABULOUS recommendation!!) I cannot begin to describe how AMAZING it was to have a/c and unforgettable water pressure for the shower at EPIC. We felt dusty and dirty and it was super relaxing to get all cleaned up there. My room was quite spacious, and came with two bottles of complimentary water and fabulously plush cotton towels. Apparently, there was a directory with numbers to reach reception, etc., but I didn’t use it. No space left here to expand except... GO!! GO!!

Epic Hotel Nyagatare

Great hotel and great staff. The staff is very attentive to your needs. Food was great. Sandeep goes above and beyond.
