This vacation rental welcomes up to 3 dogs per reservation year-round and for off-season monthly rentals.

Three Flat Screen CCTV's. Internet Access, No Phone. Hardwood floors. The dining area has seating for six plus four more at the kitchen counter. The hot and cold outdoor shower where you come up to porch from the beach. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living area. Partially covered beachfront deck for sunning or shade. One house from beach access. Pets allowed Nightly rentals off-season only. Garage underneath not accessible. Available for off-season monthly rental.

Diamond in the rough is a dump

View is fantastic! However, the house is more than run down. The floors give you splinters, kitchen counters that feel dirty and sticky, thin linens and no blankets, no amenities, no hair dryers and the yard has broken furniture and is neglected.

Best views

Wow! You can not beat that view. Cooking having dinner or relaxing on the couch you can watch the ocean. It was perfect! The house was spacious especially the kitchen. Beautiful bathrooms! Our family and dogs had the best stay at Diamond in the Rough. Would definitely stay again.

Cottage Feel/Upscale Amenities

Absolutely adored aptly named “Diamond in the Rough.” Bathrooms were gorgeous, Kitchen spacious, View unbeatable. Oak Island Realty answered any questions we have immediately. Hope we get to vacation here again. Loved it!

Poorly Maintained & Poorly Managed

The location of the property is great, but the property was poorly maintained. The porch is in bad shape, the outdoor shower intended to prevent tracking sand in the house doesn't work, there was no broom or similar to deal with the sand once it got in, the property lacked ANY basics (garbage bags, paper towels, hand soap, etc), there were no instructions in the house for the internet or checkout or anything else, the refrigerator took 24hrs to get cold. Overall, I was very disappointed given the location and opportunity to exceed our expectations with just a few simple things...
