This vacation rental welcomes up to 3 dogs per reservation year-round.

3 smart TVs with the streaming capability and wireless internet access. Hardwood floors in the living room/dining area, books, games and puzzles. Rinse off on beach boardwalk, direct beach access. Parking for 4 vehicles, gas grill. The large picture windows and the spacious covered porch provide amazing panoramic views from east to west! Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the porch rockers. Nightly rentals with a 2-night minimum. New for 2020 paneling has been replaced with drywall and new vinyl plank flooring.

Excellent Location

Three women stayed 10 days at the end of October 2024. The location was excellent. The beach was just steps away from the house. The house had some updates and was comfortable. It was obvious that the house was heavily used through the summer month and more updates are needed.

Can't recommend

Was less than impressed with the overall up keep of this property. Weeds, run down, it needs a good buff and shine. Beds squeaked, shower upstairs not good, AC issue, kitchen needs to be edited and delete the cheap items. Porch furniture needs attention. Back door has a rather large gap, corrosion and paint looks like the big dog wants OUT scratches. Wouldn't stay here again until a full day of TLC was administered.

Quintessential Beach House

My wife and I needed a place to stay while dealing with a family member in Southport whom was very ill...the house and the location right on the beach provided a serene place for us to try to relax and savor the beauty of the Atlantic.

Needs some love....

The location was exactly what we wanted but there were several things needing attention. Bathrooms outdated, beds very uncomfortable and noisy, dirty dishes, issues with stove, internet and fans. The porch needed serious attention with splintering boards and securing boards. Loved location but not worth the amount of money spent for vacation.

Perfect getaway

Lovely house on the beach! Pros: PERFECT location and views, beautiful porch, high ceilings, open concept floor plan, clean house. Cons: bathrooms are outdated, pots and pans are old and no longer nonstick, storage door downstairs was stuck, no hand soap. All in all would recommend and would love to go back! We had an amazing labor day weekend with friends on Oak Island!

House on beach

We arrived at check in time which was 4pm after driving 8 hours. Cleaners were still there had to wait outside for an hour before aloud to go inside. House still was dirty lots dog hair. House was on beach ans rooms where big lots tvs a plus.

Perfect getaway

Ocean at the back door. Cozy living room/kitchen/dining downstairs. We stayed downstairs using master bed and bath. If it hadn't been during pandemic we would have called more family to stay upstairs in the other rooms (w/ another bathroom). Look on the left angle of the Oak Island pier webcam and that's where you'll be!

Great views, no amenities.

Had a great time staying in this house. I can’t say enough about how great the location is. The deck is a dream and the view is awesome. The common spaces were a little cramped with 10 adults, but if you’re willing to pull up a dining room chair to the living room, you’re good. But overall clean and nice. Also, this is definitely run by a rental company and not home owners. I was surprised by additional fees by the rental company that came AFTER I booked through VRBO. Wasn’t a big fan of that. All communication came through the rental company, not VRBO. I knocked off a star because the amenities are scarce. No paper towels, toilet paper, not even hand soap. Don’t count on finding shampoo in the shower or a hair dryer in the cabinet. And there were no extra sheets for the pull out couches. I suppose the rental company would provide sheets, but we didn’t realize it until we were ready to sleep. Overall, the stay was nice, but you’re literally only paying for a place to sleep and a view, nothing more.
