Diamond in the Rough

This is a lovely home in what some would consider a rough neighborhood; however, we felt very safe and saw nor heard anyone in the evening and night which is when we were in the home. The proximity and ease of travel to the areas we needed to visit while we were there was perfect. (Marin county, San Francisco,Concord and Brentwood)The house had all of the comforts of home and plenty of room for 5 adults.

Horrible neighborhood

This house is a nice little house, the bathrooms were a little musty but it was clean. Mattresses were pretty hard too. HOWEVER, the listing did not indicate the type of neighborhood it was in. Driving up at night with little ones in the car was outright scary. There is a sizeable homeless encampment adjacent to the home and piles of garbage all over the street. The home is next door to some kind of a junkyard or something and dogs barked until after 2am. The house on the other side appears to be abandoned and the house is at the end of a dark street. I went outside to get something from the car and there were a few homeless people that appeared to be doing drugs within eyeline of the property. I need to let you know that I'm not some kind of suburban Karen type who freaks out over a bit of homelessness and that I lived in a large city urban setting myself and work at a nonprofit. Homeless people generally don't scare me....HOWEVER......this is a legit scary dark street with questionable people wandering around. Especially with children staying with me. It was so bad that we actually left after just one night because our two little girls didn't feel safe there. There should be some kind of neighborhood warning on the rental. It's not a kid friendly rental.

Fantastic stay!

It's a gated residence with private parking that can fit 2-3 vehicles easy. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of seating. Central to areas between San Ramon and San Francisco. Excellent customer service. Easy check out.

Great property, be safety-aware

Overall this property was just what my family and I needed for our holiday visit to nearby relatives. There were plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for everyone, the kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed, there were plenty of towels for bathing, and the proximity to the Oakland airport and the nearby places we were visiting was wonderful. As other reviews have noted, be prepared that there are nearby piles of trash and unhoused individuals. However, we felt very safe once inside the gate, and the overall neighborhood has many other homes, vehicles, and people that increased the sense of safety.

We Had An Awesome Time

To be honest the place is nice the house is nice on the inside 4 bd and 3 baths a lot of space good for a big group of family or friends. It was the neighborhood that shock us with a lot of homeless around. Outside is not the best of neighborhoods at all but he has a big gate with a padlock and the house is secure and it is quiet it was no problem once I got over the neighborhood I was fine. He was nice and when I contacted him about anything he responded back asap. It was a good experience.

Diamond in the rough..

Property in EXCELLENT location. Jamar answered all my questions right away. Felt secure with the Gate locking in the front. I read other people's comments about the trash and noise coming from the shop next door. The trash is just Oakland as a whole and the noise I didn't hear ANY. Older home but upgraded to fit all ur needs.
