The rooms are large and clean. We have three young kids ages all under 9 so the pool was perfect. I liked the fact that we could park the car when we checked in and walk everywhere. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, convenience stores. The free breakfast was an added bonus. Nothing fancy just quick options muffins,bagels,breakfast bars,fruit. Most importantly there was coffee! The walk to the beach was short. Would definitely stay here again.

When we checked in, we noticed that the beds were slightly dirty… a few hairs a grain of sand here or there. Every time I check into a room I peel back the sheets and search the room for signs of bedbugs before even bringing my bags up to the room. When I did this, I found that the space between the top sheet and the mattress cover was quite dirty a good amount of sand and dirt and lots of hair. I went to the front desk and explain the situation and the Desk clerk offered to have somebody come switch it all out right away and clean the beds. We agreed. I did have to call a second time as they did not come up right away. It was over 25 minutes. When they took the mattress cover off the second bed, the mattress showed a huge stain. The person cleaning pointed out the stain about the same time that I noticed it. He immediately offered us another room. I looked closely at the stain and then smelled it, and it turned out to be what we believe was just juice. The room was a little bit rundown and I was so focused on the bed so I didn’t notice that the bathroom walls were dirty, particularly in the area right behind where the door opens so it’s somewhat that a cleaner could miss it. The hotel‘s policy of only cleaning every few days is definitely coming back to bite them. The air conditioner was dusty and the filter on it definitely needed changed or cleaned. The safety door latch was coming unscrewed. The price view and location were great and the staff was friendly.

The staff in the office was friendly and nice. The bathtub & shower was not cleaned. The outside toilet was not clean. the floor next to the main door of the room & the bathroom floor was not swept. A stained pillow case, stained towel and the shower curtain was not changed. I have pictures of it all. The amount of people outside at night partying was unacceptable after 10pm.

The ONLY highlight of this hotel was the view of the ocean from our balcony. Our room was dusty, the bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in awhile, stains on the towels and blanket and long hairs found in one of the beds. The phone in our room did not work, and we had to unplug the clock because it was making a weird static like noise throughout the night. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper since daily service of our room was nonexistent. When we asked at the front desk, one employee told us that there should be someone cleaning the room every day, yet another employee said we only get service if we request it. The street noise during the night was unbearable and kept us all up. The sound of trucks and motorcycles racing up the street was so loud that it felt like we were camping outside. One night around 2:45 a.m., we heard 6 gunshots outside (also heard by guests next door to us.). The beds were extremely uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on the floor. We did NOT feel safe at this hotel at all. We would NEVER stay here again and would NOT recommend this property to anyone.

Hotel needs an upgrade and a really good top to bottom clean. The main door had many cracks and didnt lock properly as well as the linen was never changed and it was very hard to get extra towels as they normally had a wait time. Parking was very limited at times resulting in having to walk through the smoking area to get to the room and the smell of weed was awful. I dont recommend this hotel.

Beach Hotel, fits basic needs

Beds seemed small, “queen”advertised, but clean, bathroom was usable but needed a better cleaning, fridge worked but was old and freezer needed defrosting, doors slamming till 3am, rooms not sound proof at all, next door neighbor smoked pot every day, venting directly from his bathroom to our room…keep the bathroom fan on 24/7.
