We arrived to a run down building with a front door that looked like we were in a bad part of townâŠThe view is non-existent because the dune is so large it covers the âocean frontââŠThe âgorgeousâ condo smelled terrible as if a pack of dogs had spent the week thereâŠTo add insult to injury, upon pulling back the comforter we discovered urine stains on the beddingâŠThe âprivate garageâ reeked as wellâŠNeedless to say we found other accommodations and didnât stay at the property more than 15 minutesâŠThe rental agency refused to give us a refund or even a partial refund or find us other accommodations despite repeated queriesâŠThey offered to clean the unit again and give us mattress protectors but the damage had already been done. No amount of cleaning wouldâve gotten rid of the smell that triggered an asthma attack.
You can tell the unit has had some recent renovations. It was roomy and had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The 2 car garage was great with an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and guaranteed parking. Direct access to beach. Only complaint was carpet had a few stains. They updated everything else though. Great view of the ocean from the balcony. We would stay there again.
The location and size of the property is definitely five stars. The appliances and other aspects are a bit dated but the condo is well worth the money as you are steps from the beach. There is a huge garage for all of your beach gear and two cars. The balcony is overlooking the beach and is fantastic for happy hour. I recommend for a family beach vacation.
The property was extremely beat up and dirty. It needed to painted outside and inside. The carpet was hideous, stains everywhere. There were multiple lights out. The TV in living room did not work! And the cable boxes were so outdated, no channel worked and any app function like Netflix or YouTube didnât work. Called management and they recommended (per owner) to use the Firestick. Not surprising at this point, it didnât work either. This whole situation was extremely frustrating. More things of disappointment were: 1) garage opener didnât work, 2) the garage door itself was temperamental, 3) screen door was broken, and 4) there wasnât any outside shower to at least rinse your feet off after the beach. The one and only good thing about the property was the location. But, with the poor condition and after all the taxes and fees, $1000/night was a gouge. A fair rate would be $325/night, otherwise you are throwing money away and giving it to someone who takes no pride in the condition of their property.
The property location was perfect. We had trouble with the garage door opening and there is no remote for the garage door which is a inconvenient. We did get a quick response from the property manager and the owner and were able to get the door working enough to use the garage. The exterior of the building needs some cosmetic work but the interior is freshly painted and clean except for the carpet which is badly stained. Some type of hard surface in the living areas would be nice. All in all a nice place to stay.
This condo was a nice place to stay. My family enjoyed itâs close proximity to the beach. My only complaint was the cable. We had several rainy days and it would have been nice to be able to watch tv, however many of the stations were in Spanish and I couldnât fix them or get my Firestick to work. But overall a nice place to stay.
I would have loved to have given this a 5 star rating. My main complaint was the outdated appliances and cabinetry and things which lacked basic repairing. The kitchen had non removable stains from all the years of wear & tear. (This also includes many areas of the carpets). As well, blinds/curtains were not up in some rooms. Even those where children were to sleep on the pull out sofa where a building directly across could see in. So we put up a sheet for our entire stay. One master bedroom had no TV, that would have been nice to have & use while we stayed in it. The front storm door was broken & would not close so it had to be left completely open. The main front door lock was difficult to unlock with the key each time we had to enter back in & it would take us all awhile to jimmy the lock & push the door open. That was the case for all 4 of us adults who consistently tried at it. Using VRBO & having all my questions answered for the rental was great & I have no complaints as far as that goes.
