Diamond Head 402 is an adorable condominium located in the midtown. This property, although not oceanfront, has some view of the ocean. . This one-bedroom, one and a half-bathroom condo has a furnished southern exposure balcony.

This adorable condo has some fantastic amenities and beautiful hardwood flooring. The living room is furnished with a sofa, a matching chair, and a flat screen TV. The couch doubles as a queen-size sleep sofa. The sliding balcony doors bathe the space in natural light. Right off the living room is a dining area, perfect for meals with the family. Next to the dining area is the fully-stocked kitchen where you can cook on those nights you decide to stay in. The master bedroom has two double beds, a flat screen TV, and a private half-bathroom. The full bathroom is located in the hallway. This property comfortably sleeps up to six people, so bring the whole family!

Accusations after our stay.

The place was looks similar to photo, but with 10 years of age in places you can’t see. We were welcomed by a smell throughout, that we had to buy air freshener to endure. Beds were very uncomfortable. The proximity to the beach is wonderful and it did have all the necessary items for cooking. They supplied towels and fresh linens. On our way home we received a phone call from the office stating the condo had heavy dog hair throughout, interesting since we have a dog sitter at home and there are dogs in other condos, but there was no dog in ours. I won’t stay again after the accusation of having an animal in the unit and their inability to confirm their cleaning crew stated the wrong room.

A very expensive mistake - READ REVIEWS

My family had to request a late check in. We arrived at the property around midnight.... it was disgusting. Yes, it is outdated, but the mold, pubic hair, dust bunnies and smell were the real turn offs. My daughter said it smelled like peanut butter and dog diarrhea. We had to stay there till the morning, but there was no sleeping. I talked to the manager and thought we came to some agreement with partial reimbursement, but after multiple phone calls and emails there has been no communication or settlement.

Dated, but clean and great location

Property is very dated, weathered finishes, old throw pillows and furniture, broken closet doors noisy window a/c units. Location was great, neighbors were friendly, and the place was clean and stocked and property management team was friendly and thoughtful. A little inconvenient to have to mail payments in, but overall a decent experience. Definitely try the pizza and taco shops across the street!

Fun vacation

We were happy with the unit and the location. We had a wonderful time. Loved the balcony, and all the kitchen appliances were nice! Here are a few "negatives" I can think of....1) the bathroom door rubs on the floor so it's hard to open/close; 2) the lack of cabinet or pantry space for us to store our food; 3) we rented a DVD, but the DVD Player didn't work. These 3 negatives are minor. We would definitely go back!! Thank you so much!

Smaller than execpted, disappointed, pool closed

We had expected the condo to be a littler larger and have ocean front view. The condo was on the side of the building facing the street and another building. We were not informed the pool would be closed when making reservation. The adjacent buildings had pools open. We feel for this amount of money the pool should have been opened or rate discounted. The floors were dirty and our feet were almost instantly black when walking on them. I'm sure the floors were cleaned with a old, dirty mop. My wife got stuck in the bedroom and the door knob did not work. We have to wait for a maintenance person to come get the door opened. Will not stay here again.
