Adorable cottage, you get the real feel of what Ocracoke cottages and homes were like in the past with knotty wood paneling, very cozy. Kitchen is great! The outdoor shower for the summer is the way to go. Quiet area. Close to shopping and dining. There were four of us, totally enjoyed our stay.
The house was rustic but clean. Some of the furniture was very rustic.
Beds comfortable. Good location near town and restaurants. No shower in second bathroom. Outside shower was nice.
Loved the ducks and chickens.
Negative :
house opposite our view from porch was a disaster. Obviously, damaged from one of the hurricanes , mattresses and trash all over their yard. I I know the home owners of the VRBO canât help what their neighbors do or donât do but it does look like a trash heap.
The island is still recovering from Hurricane Dorian and there is evidence of that throughout the town. So sad.
One of the best places to eat is the Flying Melon and the beaches are fantastic.
