Much loved holiday chalet

Ideal retreat for families and friends to enjoy all the outdoor activies the Central Plateau has to offer year round.

All comforts catered for your weekend holidays here, cozy woodburner creating a nice ambience on a cool winters night and a heat pump for constant temperature. Great drying room for the gear so you are all set for the next day. Deck to enjoy the sun.

Leave the car at home and take a leisurely stroll to the Junction, super for apres ski fun and entertainment. Restaurants, OCR cafe for best Atomic coffee.. A selection of ski and board hire and retail shops. Mountain bike hire as well as our own Railway Museum and historic buildings.

Ohakune is a super base for regional events many that are held during the ski season Peak to the Keg and others over the summer period, famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Blyths track, Around the mountain hike, motor bike events, cross country encounters, rodeo, fly fishing, Kayaking, rafting, horse riding, mountain biking etc adventure on the River Road to Whanganui the alternate route to the Paraparas.

Excellent visitor information centre to help you plan and utilise your recreational time in the region.

Relaxing with a great view

Spacious, AMAZING shower, comfy beds, nice and homely feel all around. Hob was a little small, but otherwise great kitchen. Great location, good pubfood at walking distance, close to shops, great walking spots and of course a stunning view of Mt Ruapehu. What's not to love?!

Well kept, obviously well loved by owners. Nicely appointed, everything in the kitchen to make life easy! Towels and lovely linen. A lovely holiday house to stay in. Had a hitch with netflix and the owners sorted it straight away. Highly recommend:)

We loved our stay in the very comfortable cottage style house. The fireplace kept us very warm and it was an easy distance from the ski resort. The electric blankets on the bed were such a spoil!

Fantastic spot for our wee mountain holiday.

Lovely place, perfect size for our group of 3 and could have easily accommodated another family with us. Fireplace, gas water and heat pump were all added bonuses. We'll equipped house with all the kitchen basics covered too. Linen supplied was a bonus just wish I'd realized that before we brought all our own in the car with us :) Added bonus being able to being the dog. Overall a great spot and hope to come back again some time. Nice close walk to town and a couple of kids playgrounds, as well as a lovely nature trail that was magic in the snow. Thank you for letting us stay in your house, we had a fabulous time and even got snow fall!!

I've stayed in heaps of places in Ohakune. Most are fine for crashing in after a day of skiing. This place is a cut above however. I'd really recommend it.

Warm and spotless!

This bach is spotlessly clean and has everything you need and nothing you don't. Well equipped kitchen, incredibly comfortable sofa (and recliner chairs) and views of the mountain. Great location to walk to the river or the Junction end of town.
