Mount View on Manuka

Centrally located in Ohakune, with views of Mount Ruapehu from the master bedroom, this warm and inviting two-bedroom chalet with one bedroom leading through to the other is located within walking distance to the centre of town and just a short stroll to the kid-friendly, award-winning Carrot Park.
And don't forget to enjoy the varied cuisine of Ohakune's many cafes and restaurants.

The comfortable living area is a sun trap during the day and has a cosy wood fire for the colder days and evenings upon return from the snow. With its large flue, the fire fully warms up the home.The living area opens onto a sunny deck, which is ideal for those sunny days where perhaps sitting on the deck with a glass of wine enjoying the sun and a mag is the go. The practical, fully equipped kitchen has all the requirements for those longer stays.
Wi Fi available so those wet days will allow more options to enjoy your stay.
All bedding, linen and towels etc are also supplied.
One of the upstairs bedrooms features lovely views of Mount Ruapehu. There's a storage and lockable shed under cover to store your ski gear. Plus the added bonus of racks to allow board waxing.
Pet friendly for up too two small to medium size dogs.
Please just grab those poops and not on the furniture or beds😊

All in all, this chalet will be perfect for the families and couples who want convenience, and homeliness, along with that alpine feeling.

Perfect!

A perfect, cozy little chalet that the whole family loved. Excellent communications with the owner, and a clean, well maintained and cared for little chalet. Within two minutes of arriving the kids voted it the best Bach ever! Really hope to go back!

great base

This was a great base for us to explore the mountain and enjoy the area. Well equipped, had everything we needed for our time away. We just had to be careful with our three young children with the steep stairs and also a gap between the roof and the wall upstairs.

Awesome stay in Ohakune for our family

We had a lovely stay here for our ski trip to Turoa. According to our 8yo it was the best house ever :) it had everything we needed and in a nice quiet cul de sac, close to Ohakune. The kids loved the window seat as well. The fireplace warmed the place very quickly and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommended!

Beautiful little home

Beautiful, clean property. My large family of 6 had a great stay here, had everything we needed for our stay and a short walk to the famous carrot park, local school, and main centre. Not to mention stunning view of the maunga on a clear night from up stairs. Would definitely stay again

Such a perfect place to spend our family holiday! Clean from the get go, and equipped with everything we needed (spices, cleaning supplies, washing machine, dryer and detergent). Fireplace kept the whole house warm and the area was so quiet and peaceful. Had no trouble with our dog and three kids. Would love to come back ❀

Perfect spot

Relaxing mountain time

We enjoyed ourselves for the long weekend. The house was comfortable for reading inside while it rained all morning. The bed was very comfortable. The wood fire was easy to use and kept the house warm and dry. The kitchen was well appointed. We cooked dinner one night. All in all, a great stay. Will stay here again.

We liked the interesting home touches like the copper drying rack over the wood stove. It was nice to stay in what seemed like a home rather than an IKEA showroom. Very nice and a great location.

Stay in Ohakune

This is a small detached property about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ohakune. Quiet location. Well equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dryer had been installed since we made the booking which was very welcome. Heating was either a small electric radiator (which we used) or a wood burner, which would probably be necessary to light outside of summer months. Bedrooms were upstairs via a narrow staircase, not easy if you have a heavy suitcase. Bathroom was downstairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
