We had a lovely stay in Olhao. The hotel breakfast was a good way to start the day, and a dip in the clear cool water in the pool helped us to recover at the end of the day. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the absence of sockets in the kitchenette. There was a kettle and a toaster, but nowhere to plug them in.

Fantastic facilities, ample wardrobe and hanging space with safe in room, tea/coffee making facilities but not products supplied, small fridge in room, large comfy bed with crisp white sheets, TV, nice bathroom with nice soaps and large walk in shower. Outside there was a really lovely pool with sunbeds round and another seating area up a few stairs overlooking the pool free poolside towels supplied and I think the hotel also provided seaside parasol to be used off site, although we didn't use them. The breakfast as as as expected with all that's needed.

The best staff in a wonderful hotel

Wonderful small hotel in Olhao. The best thing about this place was the fantastic staff. Friendly, welcoming, and done absolutely anything we needed.

The hotel was lovely, clean and bright. The staff were very friendly. Room was spotless and spacious. Breakfast was really nice. Pool area was good but there was a bit of algae in the water at the deep end. We were told it was harmless.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful in recommending places to go in Olhao. Relaxing pool area. Location was good, just a short walk from the town and marina. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel as we felt that local cafes had more atmosphere. We really enjoyed Olhao and would choose the Cidade again.

The hotel was really nice. The rooms are typical for Europe. The area around the hotel was less than ascetically pleasing. Easy to walk to marina and get Ubers. All but one staff members was knowledgeable and offered help. Breakfast was really good. Hotel was clean.

Amazing small hotel room good breakfast good staff amazing reception one of the most kind and helpful i have met .location close to alloa centre and port 10 mins and youre in the lovely old town bus station 1 minute train station 5 mins walking a 10 minute train ride youre in faro .superb local well priced food i loved every minute i am old 65 and a single traveller the hotel made me so welcome thank you.i highly reccomend this hotel als the taxi firm the hotel use run by hugo brilliant friendly informative superb
