Stay was "ok". Pool was not kept clean. The chairs and cushions smelled as if they hadn't been cleaned in some time and should be a daily routine. Other quests were using the skimmer to clean bugs and debris from the trees from the pool. This was concerning after being told at checkin that they only reopened the pool the day before we arrived. Some areas of the proprty need attention and upkeep. Balcony had a lot of rust and peeling paint. A strong musty smell in the common areas (hallways) on the floors by the rooms. We were of the understanding that the staff would not enter our room unless we requested fresh towels daily. We did not request this on the day after arriving,
however after returning from the pool area, we learn that the staff did in fact enter our room. We wouldn't have left some of our personal items (jewelry, car keys and so on) if we had known. We had only spent approximately an hour and a half to 2 hours at the pool.
On a positive note, the staff we encountered were very pleasant and friendly.
