Great stay at Chez Mickey
Posted May 21, 2024 on HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our recent stay at Chez Mickey. Great house, well equipped. Lovely pool. Tuscan Ridge remains a nice place to be based with good access to the parks and shops. Traffic is busier than previous years but Tuscan ridge and Chez Mickey far our way that minor negative. Will be happy to visit again.

Great home, book it!
Posted Apr. 5, 2024 on HomeAwayHad a blast here. We loved the pool. Enjoyed the quiet area. Clean house. Responsive host. Great food was close by (reccomend Mannys Chophouse in Haines city). Place is large and has everything you need and more. You won't regret booking it up!

Couldn't have asked for a better holiday home
Posted Nov. 25, 2023 on HomeAwayThis villa was a perfect home away from home for our 2 week stay. It is well located for access to the attractions, and is situated on a quiet estate.
The home was lovely and clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable after a long day walking around theme parks! The kitchen and utility were both well stocked
There were plenty of beds, and the twin/bunk rooms were really nicely done for children. There were also toys, high chairs, strollers and pool toys dotted around.
We did have a problem with the pool heating at the beginning of our stay, but Laura was fantastic and got it sorted for us quickly with good communication. And the hot tub was a life saver for our sore muscles!
We would definitely look to stay here again on future visits.

Very clean
Posted Nov. 22, 2023 on HomeAwayThe property was very clean, pool area and hot tub were great. Very spacious home and a good location with a Publix and restaurants very close by.
The only downside for my family is that you have to keep the house at 75 degrees. There is a note on the thermostat stating that the coolest temperature has to be 75 otherwise the pipes will freeze and the renter will be responsible for repairs. This needs to be stated in the listing because I never would have rented this property had I known this. It was cooler outside than it was in the house and was very hard to sleep.

With regards to the AC, this is just a polite note as a recommendation. The AC can be turned below 75 degrees and is not fixed. This is purely detailed as an ideal temperature as recommended to us by our service engineer to avoid the pipes freezing.
We do not wish for our guests to be uncomfortable and would have advised this had we been made aware. All bedrooms also have ceiling fans in addition to the AC should you require.

Lovely home in perfect location
Posted Oct. 20, 2023 on HomeAwayWe stayed for 10 nights at Chez Mickey and it was a perfect place for us to call home on this part of our Florida vacation. The house is in a great location for accessing Disney, shopping and universal. The area on the 27/i4 highway is currently being developed and more restaurants and shops are being built too so not too far to travel.
The pool was a huge hit with all the family and we really enjoyed our stay.
Laura (property manager) was super helpful when we had a couple of questions too.

Great Villa - Some admin issues

We enjoyed 12 nights at the villa, great south facing pool and nice quiet area.
Having stayed at a villa in Tuscan Ridge area before we were happy to return but traffic increases makes location further in time from the parks now.
Villa was generally very clean but we were unable to use hot tub which was dirty, this was advised to management along with non functioning pool light but wasn’t sorted for us before we left.
Villa admin folder, and information labels in villa were out of date in some areas and need attention.

With regards to the issues brought to our attention during your stay. The underwater light bulbs are specialist LED bulbs that unfortunately need to be ordered which can take a few days. The pool was still able to be used and the bulb has now been replaced. Our hot tub is cleaned and treated weekly along with the pool. If used correctly, they shouldn't require any additional cleans?
With regards to updates in our handbook, I will look into this asap as I wasn't aware of any changes but appreciate the attention to the matter.
