There was no working ice machine and had to go to office for ice. Office was closed even during day hours so could not get ice or any assistance. Room was nice and economical priced.

Lovely Stay!

I recently stayed at this motel and had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions and dining options. My room was spotless and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking for a pleasant and affordable place to stay!

It’s a nice place

Amazing location about a 5 minute drive to the university. The team here, does a very detailed clean of the rooms. It has been updated. WiFi is a little spotty on the end room. Only complaint I have is the shower head is not attached to the wall. This was our second stay here and they didn’t fix it in almost a year. But the rooms are clean, the beds are nice and there is great water pressure. Would have stayed a third time but they have jumped the prices a bit more than I like for a no extras stay.

The property looks like it was probably built in the 1970’s but the rooms are clean have a mini fridge and microwave in them and have been updated. If you are looking to save money this place is not bad. Had to wait awhile for the desk clerk to check us in but overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Not So Good

I book the room and got confirmation for the reservation 20 minutes before I arrived, yet when I got there I was told that someone had just rented that room a few minute before I got there and had " beat me to it". I had requested a quiet room with a comfortable bed, which the hostess confirmed my preferences when I checked in. The bed was very comfortable, but the room was facing the very busy highway that ran very close to the hotel, so I could hear all of the very loud traffic noises during the entire one night stay. When I checked out the same hostess, whom had given my reserved room to someone else and had confirmed my preference of having a quiet room, asked how my stay was. I told her about the traffic noise and she said I should have told her and she would have moved me to an upstairs room. Blah

We had a very friendly welcome with the owner offering us special "tulip" cookies and milk from her own fridge! Very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend staying here. We came for the tulip festival in Pella and glad we stayed here.

Day light through door frame

Door frame was busted, could see day/ outside around the door. Blinding light come through curtains all night long. Was kind of a scary low quality motel. Felt not very safe
