Ouray, Colorado, nestled at 7,800 feet, offers year-round outdoor activities and has everything you could want during your Colorado mountain vacation any time of year! In the spring, summer, and fall months visitors enjoy exploring, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding excursions, and fishing. You'll love the summer music series in Ouray's Fellin Park! In the winter months bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, or Nordic skis and enjoy downhill skiing in Telluride, a scenic 60-minute drive from Ouray! Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. After a day of adventure, enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, and the ever-popular Ouray Hot Springs.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

The location was quiet, had amazing views. Inside was extreamly clean, and although we come prepared there was everything possibly imaginable avail. for a comfortable trip. A few notes to other to consider: If you are of age going upstairs is a challenge, yet possible if you take ea step slowly. It is adorable upstairs. Also, parking space is tricky, yet is possible if you maneuver your vehicle correctly. These 2 things are just a heads-up. Do not avoid this AMAZIN mountain place. We'll be renting again.

This is a hard review, the original house we booked was horrible, something dead was in or under the house, they tried to coverup smell with pine sol, the bedroom door doesn't close all the way so a gap at bottom of door. We contacted the rental agency upon arrival and they immediately put us in another rental which was wonderful, so 5 stars to the agency for accommodating us and 5 stars to the second rental home but 1 star to this poor little historic home that really needs some TLC.

Would have given this place 5 stars and amazing reviews; however, there was a horrible smell that we are certain was a dead mouse/rat. Maintenance tried to find the source and provided room spray, but this didnt help. Location was perfect.

Positives Close to town- easy walk Historic property built in 1879 Dog friendly, but no place for the dog to be off leash such as a back yard Very clean and well stocked with dishes and glassware on arrival Negatives Accessibility - Stairs are more of a ladder than stairs. The four of us are all in our mid to late sixties and it was a challenge to go up or down the stairs safely. If you are taller than 6’ you need to duck to avoid hitting your head on the ceiling at the back of the master bedroom. The ceilings and floors are not level and the walls are not square, but I understand the homes bones are a rustic cabin. It’s Impossible to sit on the main level toilet without hitting your legs on the vanity, or sitting at an angle. Only one vehicle allowed to park in the driveway, and the nearby offsite parking was full of construction vehicles and trailers for off road vehicles. I have never stayed at a VRBO where you are expected to wash your towels and dishes, and take out the trash when you leave. I expect that to be part of the cleaning fee. NO smoking anywhere on the property, not even outside on the deck. My cousin had to walk out to the fairly busy dirt road in front of the cabin to smoke his cigar. Odor similar to a decaying animal in main level strongest near the bathroom and bedroom, this was mentioned in several earlier reviews so it obviously has not been addressed. For what I spent for two nights stay I was very disappointed.

Pictures of property made it look more spacious than it actually is. All amenities are provided and thoughtfully arranged in a “cozy” space, and they even provided a special spot for our dog. Although well-maintained, this is an older property with squeaky floors and a bedroom door (to outside) that won’t quite shut.

Overpriced. Mildew and urine odors in Master BR. No windows with screens for ventilation in Master. Needs many updates. Difficult stairs to 2nd level. Not pet friendly ( no secure outdoor area for dogs). Not tranquil or serene as advertised. A busy road directly in front and sits on a busy intersection. Washer/dryer only accessed via separate door outside an outer stairwell.

We enjoyed staying here! The house is cute and quirky. I felt like I was in Ron Weasley’s house on Harry Potter! It was a quick walk to town to all of our favorite shops/restaurants. I would stay here again!

Two nights in Ouray

Perfect little cottage right on the edge of downtown Ouray. Can walk to multiple restaurants and you have perfect access to the Ouray Perimeter hiking trail. We had a wonderful stay with our pup. Would highly recommend.

Cool cabin!

Quintessential little log cabin with big bonus area upstairs! We loved this place
it was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences. The location simply cannot be beat! And who’d expect to have wonderful frrebie travel size AVEDA products?!? The only change I would make is to Have a larger couch upstairs so you can hang out more comfortably.

Cute Historic Cabin

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin has the necessary basics and was a perfect location to walk to restaurants and the dog park. The last day there was a bit of a sewage smell that was pretty foul. We let the property manager know, of course. Kids had a great time exploring the snow covered boulders behind the cabin. Overall good stay!
