Our fenced-in backyard is ideal for dogs to relax in cooler weather and go off-leash.

Experience cooler temperatures in summer and snow in winter at an elevation of 6800ft, with unobstructed south and southeast views for miles. Our quiet cabin is located in Bison Ranch, and backs up to Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Mountain Retreat Tranquility

This will be our second time staying at Willie’s Retreat. All I can say is what amazing cabin with huge covered deck to view the forest with wild horses, elk and deer. Mark and Eve thought of everything when they decided to share their beautiful cabin with others. The master bedroom mattress is comfortable with nice master bathroom. The other two bedrooms are just as nice and comfortable. The kitchen and huge living room space is relaxing and inviting. We played games, listened to music, watched movies, watched the wildlife and cooked lots of meals on the outdoor grill. We only left two times to enjoy a breakfast at The Nears Cafe in Heber and a drive to Showlow for early dinner. The kitchen is well stalked with spices and oils. Their kitchen was great for preparing breakfast and dinner. The tap water in Overgaurd is great so skip your plastic water bottles with all the microplastics and enjoy refreshing water that tastes like our R/O system at home. The back yard is fenced so or dogs loved getting out of the heat down here in Apache Junction. One more important detail is the absolute quietness that is around you. You can hear the birds and insects. This community is amazing. Star gazing is amazing here as well. We definitely will request further stays with them in the future.

We'd definitely stay here again if we head back to the Heber area. The property was clean and had a nice layout. We brought a 17-month old (very mobile) toddler, and it worked out really well. There was even a few toys and some kids books for him to play with.

Love the Wild Horses!

This is a fantastic property! What really makes it special is that the property backs up to open land where you can see wild horses. We saw them all three days during our stay. Bison Ranch is an adorable neighborhood. The Wild Women Saloon at Bison Ranch has great pizza and a fun atmosphere. We are so glad we stayed here and will probably stay again in the future.

So Serene!

My sisters and I enjoyed a few days of relaxing in this wonderful cabin (with all the amenities) that backed up to a beautiful national forest where we sat out on the back porch every morning, drinking our coffee and watching the wild horses come and go! We were in Overgaard visiting family/friends and wished we could have taken more advantage of the cabin peacefulness. We enjoyed near by restaurants and everyone we met was so friendly! The owners were quick to respond to any of our inquiries. We would definitely stay there again!

This cabin was a dream for us. It snowed so our visit required our being in doors but we found plenty of places to explore. Wild horses came right to back fence which we all enjoyed watching. Anxious to return this summer for fishing and horseback rides. A+ for this location

Amazing Cabin

We had a comfortable stay, we found everything we need in this Cabin, truly a home away from home. No dull moments it has games and puzzles to keep us entertained. We enjoyed the foosball games. The sightings of horses at the backyard was amazing. We stayed an extra 1 more night due to winter storm but end up to be the best vacation we ever have enjoying the snow falls. We had a great experience in this Cabin,all the memories that we will remember the rest of our lives.
