Cozy Packwood Ski Cabin near White Pass and Mt Rainier

Fantastic cabin in Packwood, WA about a half-hour from White Pass Ski Resort, 15 minutes to Mt Rainier National Park, and about an hour to Paradise.

1 queen bed, 1 bath plus a futon for kids.

- Firepit in back,
- Charcoal BBQ grill with real mesquite charcoal on hand, -
- Free super-fast wifi,
- Netflix and a high-definition 4k TV.

Summers are awesome up here, with tons of fishing and hiking, and it is a great little mountain town to poke around in.

Perfect for photography, wildlife viewing, and bird watching. Walk the creek, walk the lake. Fishing, Hiking, and State Parks are all nearby.

Even though it's small, our updated cabin is about as nice as you will ever find in this low price range. The cabin is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you'll need except food which you can pick up on the way.

About your dog: It's okay to bring your potty-trained, medium-sized dog, but only if you clean up after it. Only one dog and no other animals are allowed. If it's a barker, then please leave it at home. There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee.

It's really important to us that your stay is comfortable, easy, and meets all your expectations.

We were so very excited for a birthday getaway. What we got was a cabin with no WiFi (as promised), bugs in the cabin (flying gnats) everywhere, filthy surfaces and floors (not just a day or two of dust), not at all what the photos on the website promote. Very disappointed so left the next morning rather than staying a second night. :(

The cabin is rustic and just what we wanted. The shower is small, but has plenty of hot water. It's a 2 mile drive to the town of Packwood which has a few fun dining options and a great coffee shop. It's about 15 miles to the national park. The kitchen was well appointed. There was plenty of firewood and a nice firepit. Alas, after cutting much kindling, we discovered a burn ban and did not get to enjoy it. The communications with the host were excellent. We would stay here again.

A bit more rustic and smaller than I expected. Though the bed and couch and recliner were very comfortable. The kitchen was also well stocked. The unit appears to be in the middle of being renovated. Some baseboards were missing. Walls were partially painted. The bathroom needs work. It was dirty around the tub where it met the wall. The shower ceiling appeared to be moldy in one of the corners. There was also an odd musty odor in the cabin. It could be from the wood burning stove. It was hot when we were there so appreciated the wall AC unit. Overall a very mixed review.

We found the bed very comfortable in this cute clean cabin. We forgot to take advantage of the little outdoor seating area in the back, though next time it won’t be overlooked. And though Packwood is quite small, we had have to say we had some of the best enchiladas I’ve had in a very long time - and I’m from San Antonio! Kudos to Nachos! All restaurants and grocery store, gas station are all pretty close - Not walkable, but very convenient.

If you like squishy soft beds, you'll be in heaven. I ended up on the couch. The cabin is clean and well cared for. The pantry is not as well stocked with condiments as we expected from the description. Check out process quick and simple.

Nice weekend getaway

The cabin looked run down on the outside. Other cabins around, looked abandoned. Inside the cabin overall looked Okay.. it could be cleaner. The rugs look like they hadn’t been vacuumed, and we found several hairs in the bedding. One, very interesting fact was that the attic was closed off by a black plastic. That was half open. It was very creepy. There was some mattresses up there and some locked suitcases. It was very strange. Owner should disclose this and their listing to avoid people, feeling freaked out. The bad was very uncomfortable. The pull out couch was hard, but better than the bed. The area of the cabin was in a nice quiet neighborhood. I would not be staying there again. Or would recommend it to anyone.

Relaxing getaway

The cabin was conveniently located near downtown Packwood with easy access to Mt. Rainier National Park. It was comfortable and cozy with a well stocked kitchen. The indoor stove kept us warm at night and the outdoor fire pit was great to use. Highly recommend!

This is a very cute little cabin. It’s a little small I think for four people, but it does have the bed space. Would have liked a few more curtains on the windows for privacy, even though it’s pretty secluded. Overall, it was nice and cozy.
