Very dated. The bed was lumpy and the shower unpredictable. The good thing was the sea view and the fact we could open the windows. Hotel needs a major overhaul and lacks comfort. To be honest, certainly wasnât worth the ÂŁ105 I paid for one night.
i ONLY SAW 1 GENTLEMAN WHEN I ARRIVED WHO VERY KINDLY CARRIED MY CASE UP TO MY ROOM. I DIDN'T SEE ANY FACILITIES FOR BREAKFAST AND I WASN'T ASKED IF I WANTED ANY. EVERYTHING WAS VERY BASIC AND THERE WAS NO PLUG IN THE WASHBASIN. I ALSO NOTICED AN UNPLEASANT SMELL WHEN THE NEXT DOOR ROOM FLUSHED THEIR TOILET. WHEN I READ THE QUESTIONS ASKED BY OTHER CUSTOMERS IT SAID THERE WOULD BE A MINI FRIDGE FOR MILK ETC BUT THERE WAS NOTHING IN THIS PARTICULAR ROOM. SADLY I AM AFRAID I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.
No staff and had to phone more than once to eventually be let in to hotel and given room details. Not welcolming at all and would not book again. Good view but tired dated bed, and bed covers. No way would we consider the room delux, as booked. Convenient for visit to paignton and station
There is no check in desk. The Cambria and Bonair are run from the Bonair. I had to ring the mob no to check in. I waited quite a while before someone eventually turned up. He wanted payment even though I thought I'd paid already. It turns out I had and I'm pursuing it with my credit card company. No towel in the room and the window wouldn't shut. Checking out was just as bad. I had to just leave the key as I had a train to catch. The bar and restaurant are closed. I wasn't expecting much as it was cheap but avoid this place at all costs!
