Charming apartment in an historical building in the heart of the city.
The apartment is located on the second floor of an historical building that, thanks to the renovation in 2012, retrieved its original splendour: Palazzo ChiarandĂ , a noble building totally restored with a huge entrance and antique decor.
It boasts many high-quality decors, from high ceilings to balcony railings and wood beams of the bedroom on the mezzanine floor. The whole property is enriched with classic elements that the owner desired to add.
The entrance gives space to a large and bright living area, furnished with a sofa, armchairs and a workstation, in addition to a dining area. There is also access to the independent and fully equipped kitchen, provided also with an oven, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. On the same floor guests will find the main bedroom, finely furnished with a queen-sized bed, together with a full bathroom with shower. Finally, walking up the staircase in the living area they will access the large mezzanine floor that houses a second bedroom with a french-sized bed that can accommodate a couple or two youths, and provided with a private bathroom with shower.
*The staircase to the mezzanine floor does not come with a banister, therefore the apartment is not appropriate for families with children aged less than 12 years.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Palermo is a vibrant and ever-changing city. Its historic center pulses with life day and night and is the subject of an urban redevelopment project. possible to hear noises due to the presence of construction sites, but also of clubs and meeting spots for tourists and residents.
Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers plenty of wonderful Unesco heritage sites that can be visited in the four historic districts of the city. In this regard, tourists can take part in the "Baroque itinerary of Palermo' to visit the main monuments of the city, such as the Church of the Holy Savior, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto and the Church of the Conception. The city also offers the opportunity to participate in the "Tour of the Historical Markets of Palermo' which will allow guests to explore the markets of BallarĂČ and Capo. It doesnât matter if itâs lunch or snack time, it is strictly required to taste the dishes with your hands only! This tour will also give tourists the opportunity to admire prominent buildings, streets and squares.
The train Central Station is 5 minutes walking distance and is the end of line of trains and buses from/to the airport.
The location was right in the middle of everything we needed to be a part of (restaurants, bars, social gatherings, and public transport). Very easy to find and very safe area. Highly recommended to any traveler looking for a place to stay in Palermo.
This was a great location for visiting the old part of Palermo. Easy walk to the train. Large and comfortable. No toilet paper and TV didnât work. But it was great otherwise.
We spent a nice week in Palermo.
This place is very well located, spacious and comfortable.
It is noisy, but then again, Italian people are.
We slept well with earplugs and sound machine.
The managing company was very responsive.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful flat in the heart of Palermo! It had everything we needed. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Would definitely rent it again!
Only problem was the people in Palermo stay up into the wee hours of the morning! Loud motorcycles and loud music all night!
We stayed in Palermo for 4 night and chose this property. The apartment itself was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. We were in contact with Wonderfulitaly who manages this property. We has asked if the street, Via Maqueda would be fairly quiet at night. This is a pedestrian only street but we thought we should ask. We were told that it would be fine since we were away from any pubs or restaurants. We didn't sleep well for four nights because there was a party in the street every night. There is a certain group of people that come in at night with boom boxes and motorcycles. There was loud yelling and things being thrown. Every morning there was a lot of trash in the street. To say the least we didn't get any rest. If you are a family I would not suggest staying here. At times we did not feel very safe. It was sad and disappointing since the apartment itself is so nicely laid out.
This place was clean, spacious, and exactly as shown in the listing. Would recommend to others. It is located in the historic part of town so a car would have a parking problem. Otherwise, great.
