This was a great place to stay. The bedroom and bathroom were large, and very clean. It was also very safe, with numerous locks required to get into the block, the apartment and then the room. It was about three minutes walk to the train station and the nearest taxi rank. We had good communication from Emanuela in the week before we visited and when we landed at the airport she provided clear instructions for how to find the place. She was waiting for us when we arrived and was helpful at explaining how to find our way around the city. This is not a traditional hotel, but more like a pension. Liberty Palace is in a private apartment block on the fourth floor and consists of six rooms within a converted apartment. The front desk was staffed for a couple of hours a day. We were there over new year and it was very noisy with people letting off bangers outside that were so loud they set off car alarms nearby. However, we appreciate that this is not the norm. It was reasonably noisy the rest of the week as well, but only to be expected with a location so close to a main road and the train station. If you need somewhere safe, comfortable and clean to stay, and are not expecting a 24/7 reception then this is a really good, friendly place to stay.

Surrounding area was a bit noisy at times but it is only a block or two from the train & bus station so expected. The convenience to the train station and tourist sites more than made up for this however.

This is a boutique very small hotel located very close to the main train station in an area that is dirty and run down and a little daunting if arriving at night. The hotel and staff are very good. Access to all main sights in Palermo is easy.

A very convenient and well maintained room - the high ceilings were nice and the water pressure was grrat. It's great to have a lift since it's on the 4th floor. Aircon works great, too. No complaints!

It is so hard to pick a place to stay on a foreign country since you don’t know the area. I read reviews and use google map to make our decision. We made a great decision to stay here. Our host was lovely, she gave us many recommendations for places to eat and sights to see. It was an easy walk to city center. The area is quiet and the building is very secure. We would stay here again. The room was huge! I was surprised at how large it was, the same for the bathroom. Thank you for a lovely stay in Palermo.

An oasis, calming and cool, safe and quiet

Liberty Palace is like an oasis in the heat and mayhem of Palermo. We arrived exhausted after a long drive and after we had got lost in the depths of the backstreets of Palermo whilst trying to find our pre booked car parking. It was seriously hot and our phone stopped delivering Google maps properly .We phoned Nicolo at Liberty Palace and he saved the day by taking the details of where we were trying to get to and sending us a new link to get there When we got inside Liberty Palace , it was safe, cool, clean and gracious. Our room had a lovely wrought iron balcony. We loved everything about the place especially the lovely staff and the amazing brea croissants, the coffee everything. It is in a great location also in a nice quiet street. Thank you so much

We were very happy with our stay at Liberty Palace. Considering that we were in the middle of a busy and noisy city it was very quiet. The location is a 4 minute walk to the central train station and within 15 minutes walk of the major downtown sites. The optional breakfast was very tasty and filling. We especially liked the pistachio croissants. The tiny ancient elevator was a little quirky; you had to make sure to properly close the door or it wouldn't run. A couple of times we had to climb the stairs to the 4th floor because a resident hadn't done this. Of course this is not the fault of Liberty Palace and we didn't mind the little exercise but it's something to consider if you're aren't up to it. All in all a great place to stay in Palermo.

Our stay at Liberty palace was excellent. Its location is perfect for walking to the historic center of Palermo or to the harbour. But it is far enough removed for it to be peaceful during the night. The staff were excellent and helpful with recommendations for several places to visit and restaurants to try. When we come back to Palermo, I am sure we will stay again. Grazie!
