Welcome to Brown Bunny BnB and Bakery! A cozy and inviting Retreat in charming Palmetto, FL. It is nestled in an historic home on stunningly spacious grounds. Our beautifully appointed bedroom offers a private sanctuary with an ensuite bath, ensuring your comfort and privacy during your stay.

Reason ONE: Delightful Aromas: Enjoy the tantalizing scents of freshly baked bread and cookies consisting of cinnamon and vanilla wafting from our dedicated gluten-free bakery. Please understand that our cottage food biz kitchen is off limits to our guests because it is a dedicated facility for our bakery customers.

Reason TWO: Comfort and Convenience: Each room is equipped with a dresser, ceiling fan, mini fridge, microwave, Smart TV, electric kettle, hairdryer, iron, closet, and a secured door lock for your privacy.

Reason THREE: Clean and Fresh: Our home features a whole-house water filtration system and air filtration, ensuring that you enjoy soft, warm showers and breathe in the freshest air.

Reason FOUR: Relaxing Spaces: Unwind on our covered outdoor back deck or in our inviting common areas, perfect for reading, watching TV, playing board games, or sharing meals with friends and family.

Important Details:

Check-in & Check-out: Arrive between 3 PM and 7 PM and Depart by 10 AM. For late arrivals, please call 941-284-4179. Late checkouts until 1 PM are available for an additional cost of $50.

Safety and Accessibility: Please note that the house is not wheelchair accessible. Upon arrival, you will receive a 4-digit door code and a short waiver to sign. For safety reasons, candles are not permitted in this historic wooden home.

Fragrance-Free Environment: To maintain a chemical-free space, we kindly ask guests to avoid using aerosol sprays, colognes, perfumes, or scented body products. Thank you for your understanding.

Shoes Policy: To keep our home spotless, please leave your shoes in the enclosed mudroom/laundry room upon entry.

Great place to stay.

Geena was a great host, especially with our last minute change in plans. The check in process was easy, she made us feel welcome and the home was exceptionally neat and clean. Geena offered dinner recommendations and suggestions for activities..

Not a bed and breakfast

This listing is inaccurate, it is not a bed and breakfast you are sharing a home with the owner. It should be listed as “room for rent in home.” The owner was there the entire time which was not advertised so it was uncomfortable. It also was not a bakery. The 2 rooms for rent are on either side of the owners room and kitchen which was awkward as well.

Nice, convenient location. The coffee, tea, snacks and fruit appreciated. I had never seen an electric kettle. Great choice. Never smelt the bakery goodies. Missed that.

Quaint & Very accommodating!! Great little BNB!!

Geena was the most accommodating and thoughtful host!! She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had a pleasant stay!! We really enjoyed our time in her BNB & she is also a skilled baker!! Very good GLUTEN FREE & LOW SUGAR options to choose from!! The dark chocolate bites were delicious!! If we are ever in the area for another conference we’d totally look her up!! Don’t pass on this amazing host & her very clean, inviting & chic BNB!!

Mini vacation

The place was very clean, and Geena was very pleasant. I kinda surprised of the slip and fall agreement that we had to sign. And having to be fragrance free while we stayed there. Which we understand but we really wished that there were a couple of chairs on the room to sit on. Sitting on the bed all the time isn’t very comfortable for us senior citizens. The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn’t work so it made it kinda uncomfortable when showering. Removal of your shoes outside the door was a little bit too much but we did what was necessary to make it work.

Sunny days

It was a great place to stay very close to my mother-in-law. Gina was very pleasant. Very easy to talk to the place was immaculate. The only thing is we thought we’d get a breakfast, but she did give us boxes of oatmeal and apples and bananas. Which most times was fine. We enjoyed the stay very much and definitely come back again.
