rooms had plenty of sleeping space, but some things looked a bit dirty. the elevator was small, dirty & sounded like it needed maintenance. I had originally booked the sea haven beach hotel but before my trip I was informed, they were under construction and I could get put into the sister hotel The Reef. Parking was difficult and inconvenient. they share a very small lot with the very popular restaurant Sharkeys.

I reserved and had confirmation for a King suite however on checking in I was moved into an entirely different hotel with two full sized beds. Not ideal for a romantic valentine weekend. Probably never use Hotels for booking again. No one contacted me about any issues prior to check in time.

We check in at 4:30 pm, she stated i should get 20% back from hotels.com becaus ethe room i booked was not available. We walked in the room and immediately hit with the smell of epoxy where they had just painted the porcelain tub. Awful smell. We went and got food came back and took cold showers then said forget it and left at 8 pm on the 14th. Could not stay there. Will never book there again.

The most horrific experience ever, from the hotel, the hotel management and Expedia. I was lied too, and money stolen all in the same time. Hotel was a patched up slum with paint smeared over old paint with the illusion to looked clean, room smell and poor in person presentation. Not only that, they will not refund your money when you tell them that your not satisfied and want be staying on the property . I was trusting that Expedia would do the right thing on there part and get my full refund, I’m a very disappointed customer, it’s hard enough in today’s economy to keep money more less having it taken from a dishonest company for there own flaws!!!!

We were not allowed the room we booked due to them having over half the site closed for renovation. We booked a room to accommodate 6 and the biggest they offered upon arrival was big enough to accommodate 4 causing the last part of our party to not attend. The attendant was not easy to understand either. However she did let us check in early with no extra cost, it is right on the beach with couple access to the beach and they give coupon for kids to eat free at Sharkys restaurant there on property.

The room was clean and the staff members were very kind and courteous. We were sent down to the Reef, which we love, while Seahaven was undergoing renovations. We stayed there at Thanksgiving, also. The only problem we had, both times, was the lack of hot water in the shower. The sink water was hot but neither of us would fit in the sink to take a bath. Didn't care for a lukewarm bath.

The room was older. However, it was spacious with a kitchen and a nice size bathroom. We opened the back door and were 30 steps from the beach. Wonderful stay! Will return.
